Low Engine Coolant Light by
jmthomp1
I have a 99SL2 that has recently started having the Low Coolant/Auto
Transaxle Fluid Temp warning light flash for the first few minutes of
operation after starting. Just does it now and then and stops after about
half a mile. The coolant level is normal. Do you think the sensor is going
bad ?

Low Fuel Light by
BR
Have a 1997 SL2. Lately the fuel gauge is flipping over to 'E' and the
light comes on. Although usually going over a bump will reverse this
and bring the gauge back to normal. What could this be? The sensor
within the tank?

Low throttle hesitation by
Carjunky via CarKB.com
I just put a new (junkyard) engine in my 92 SL2. At idle and above 1/2
throttle it runs like it should. But at about 1/3 to 1/2 throttle the car
just doesn't want to go, kind of chuggs or hesitates. Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated. Not worth shelling out wads of cash to the dealer...

Lower motor mount replacement? by
Tim Shoppa
After the dealer got done fixing the A/C compressor and condenser in my
wife's 92 SL1, he suggested that both motor mounts probably ought to get
replaced soon. I won't disagree - the top one (which I replaced 6
or 7 years ago) is visibly collapsed, and I'm willing to admit the bottom
one is...

LS100 Security system by
autotechgirl
My security light comes on intermittently and sometimes the little wrench
appears too. The other day, out of the blue, the car wouldn't start.
After trying to restart the car a couple of times and then waiting for
about 10 minutes, the car started. I'm suspecting that the security
system has...

LS200 Windshield Wiper Problem by
GRISWOLD3
Hi all - The Wipers on my 2001 LS200 will not return to the home
position when turned off. Instead they stop about half way across the
windshield. They work fine when running & do make a complete cycle.
This is pretty annoying. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Griswold

LW roof rack by
Oppie
Now that we are into Summer, I'm beginning to think about vacation plans and
using the roof rack on the '01 LW300. A couple of deficiencies come to mind
vs. the old minivan -
There are no strips on the roof (rubber or otherwise) to protect the paint.
The roof rack rails do not have any eyes front...

LW-200 rear brakes / E-brake by
Steph[_1_]
Any pointers on where to find the adjustment for the e-brake on a LW-200?
I can't find any adjustment on the lever inside, so it must be under the
car right? It doesn't have self-adjusting rear drums does it?
Should be easy enough to tighten up by lifting the rear wheels and sliding
under if it...

LW200 2002 2.2 L - Transmission Vibrations by
EJB
My Saturn dealer "repaired" a vibration problem coming from the automatic
transmission. The vibrations were lasting for about 5 seconds and occur
when driving around 40 to 50 miles/hour. Car mileage is 45,000 miles. The
repair cost was $625 Can. (mainly time). The transmission was dismantled
to...

LW200 tires by
Steph
Time to replace those 'wonderful' affinity tires on our LW200.
I know the brand, tread, type etc I am going to put on it, but was
wondering if anyone had moved up a size and had any thoughts on the topic.
Standard are 195/60R15, I was thinking of putting 205/60R15 on.
I had a smaller car years...

LW200 with squeaky rear seat by
[email protected]
I have a 2003 LW200 with a squeaky rear seat. It is a constant springy
type of squeak while in motion. At first I thought it might be the
cargo area pull shade, as that is spring loaded, but the squeak was
still there after I removed it. I think it's coming from either the
rear seat latching...

LW300 BCM failures by
Dana Rohleder
Last week, on a 600 mile trip, I began to notice that every 10 minutes or
so, the tach would drop to 0, and the SES light & service (wrench) light
would come on simultaneously for about 1-2 seconds, and then return to
normal. Over the entire trip, this happened about 20 times. The car would
show no...

lw300 belt tensioner by
Oppie[_9_]
Was noticing over the last few weeks that the 3L engine in my '01 lw300 was
getting noisy when started in cold weather. One day it was particularly
noisy and I investigated. Got over 150K on the car and water pump/timing
belt were replaced last year. To my great relief, the noise was a failing...

lw300 brakes by
Oppie
My 2001 lw300 has been getting to require more brake pedal force to stop.
The traction control has also been shutting down and ses lamp is on. Haven't
read out the code yet ( haven't been able to borrow a reader just yet). I
reset the codes by pulling the fuse but they came back.
Front brakes were...

LW300 Cranks but won't start by
Oppie[_6_]
(originally posted through Teranews.com but never propogated)
Several times in the last few days the '01 Lw300 has refused to start.
Cranks fine but won't catch. Fuel pressure is on the low side of normal
(40-43psi).
I put in a can of STP Injector cleaner last week and am wondering if this...

LW300 cruise control surging by

As I had written previously, the cruise control in my '01 lw300 was surging
when going at about 50 mph on level ground and then starting an uphill
climb.
Had it in for a state inspection today and asked the sevice writer about
this. They checked and said that they found a code (none that I could...

lw300 exhaust by
Oppie[_7_]
Exhaust was starting to get loud on my '01 LW300. Not surprising at 150K
miles. Found a failed flex coupler between the Y pipe and upstream muffler.
Friend at a local shop cut out the coupler and welded in a new one. There's
still a minor leak, probably a pinhole in the weld. Will let it run in...

LW300 feeling its oats by
Oppie
Since I bought the '01 LW300 back in January, I was curious about how well
it would do flat out. Being usually a sane person, I generally observe the
speed limits (or as they seem to be speed recommendations in this area).
Yesterday though on a straight section of highway, I saw a Chrysler...
