What RTV sticks to best to rubber? by
Matt[_15_]
What kind of RTV can I get at the parts store that would stick well to
ordinary rubber hose, say 1/4" OD vacuum hose, that you can buy at the
parts store?
Thanks.

What are currently your 3 favorite muscle cars and why ? by
Jeff[_58_]
Irrespective of the age, make or model, what are currently your 3
favorite muscle
cars and please separately say why, for each fave one named. You don't
have to
offer only ultra technical-mechanical reasons, but it's fine if that
stuff is mentioned.

Ford Focus by
Mr.E
Looking at a 2012 Ford Focus and a 2011 Toyota Corolla-basic
models-automatic transmissions. Wonder what problems have been seen by
those who own or have input on above vehicles?

Cruise control by
g
i notice new cruise controls keep the speed very constant. Up hills it
makes shifting very noticeable and wastes a lot of gas. one should
slow down up hills. The very old ones did this because they were poor.
I notice most people want to speed up going up hills. Some macho
thing. We could probably...

Saving gas by
g
Mythbusters proved dimpling a car like a golf ball saves 11% gas. I
don't even see anything like that, not even in the super gas saving
vehicles. How about airplanes as well?

Engine Knocking by
iconlarry
After my 2001 Nissan Sentra (four cylinder) is warmed up and driven on
the highway (especially uphill) car knocks – (sounds like marbles
hitting together) with loss of acceleration power, almost like car was
going to stop. Also, on occasion, after adding “Techron” saw white
smoke out of tailpipe....

The $500 Prius car key.... by
Existential Angst[_2_]
Has this been discussed here?
If we let car companies get away with $500 keys, then we have basically
pulled our pants down to our ankles, lubed ourselves up, painted a bullseye
on our asses, bent over, and are screaming, C'mon, shove it in
deeper/harder....
**** Prius and their car key.

'92 Accord: 3,000 rpm at 70 mph... by
Existential Angst[_2_]
Awl --
Automatic, fwd, .... am I missing a gear, mebbe overdrive?
I thought most cars did 80 mph at 3,000 rpm.
If 70 at 3,000 rpm is normal for this car, can I stick in a taller gear
somewhere?
Thanks.

Oil Change Toyota Yaris 2008 by
Dmun
Hi all,
I have a practical question;
when is it generally a good idea to change engine oil. Given that the car is used almost everyday and in a year it does about 10,000km.
Thanks for replies!

Keyless Remote by
Squeaky Knees
Just purchased a 2008 Town & Country. It came with only one keyless remote
(fobik) and I'm thinking of ordering one online for the dealer to program.
Has anyone purchased one online and if so was it as advertised and did it
work properly. I'm thinking of ordering from "Keyless-Remotes.com.
