Found in barn, complete by
DeserTBoB
Out in the heat in the Fifth Avenue today, I ran by a place out in the
desert that had looked derelict for years, but was now being cleaned
up. The "barn" (loose application of term) doors were open, and there
in the middle of a ton of crap, was a 1955 Dodge Royal Lancer sedan. I
had to pull in to...

US car dealers turn away Canadian new-car buyers - is that legal? by
MoPar Man
Now that the Canadian dollar has reached parity with the US dollar (1
USD = 1CDN), the media here in Canada is running many news items
pointing out that US car dealers are turning away Canadians who want
to plunk down cash to buy a new car.
The dealers say that their franchise agreements prevent...

Do Chrysler Minivans last a long time? by
[email protected]
I don't mean this offensive. I admit I am ignorant of this. But long
ago American cars were not very good beyond 100,000 miles. Now,
however, I see them all over the place for sale 100K+ miles $5,000 or
more. Is that just an old stigma about American cars? What kind of
work might I expect to...

Former Chrysler pitchman Ricardo Montalban, known for the phrase "reeech
Corinthian leather" when referring to the Chysler Cordoba, died Wednesday
morning at home. He was 88. Interestingly, in the early Cordoba
commercials, the phrase he used was "fine Corinthian leather".

Tire life by
[email protected]
Hi,
I need advice about assessing tire quality from the experts/ gurus in
this forum.
With regards to tire composition and characteristics, what are the
important things I need to look out for when assessing quality of an
unbranded tire. Assuming that the tires are used in the recommended way

Recommended oil viscosity by
GrtArtiste
What is the recommended oil viscosity for V-6 engines in the '05 T&C
and 300C? A message read on another board said for the T&C it was 5w20.
Is this correct? I assume it's all about fuel economy but for long term
engine protection under a variety of conditions 5w20 doesn't exactly
fill me with...

Rented a RWD Magnum in wintery Montana - Yuk! by

I grew up driving RWD cars in Minnesota winters, so I know how it's done. For
the past 15 years I have driven FWD cars, frequently to ski areas in winter
conditions.
People who say RWD vehicles are just as good as FWD on ice and snow are just
plain wrong. FWD is far superior in those...

In a huge surprise, Chrysler has decided to decline US government help and
instead accept help from Mercedes, which still owns 20% of Chrysler. Under
the plan, Chrysler will introduce competitive platforms starting in June
2009, with a total of three new platforms available by December 2009.

5-20 oil by
Alex Rodriguez
Who make 5-20 oil? I have a 2005 T&C with a 3.8 motor. We are coming up on
the time to change the oil. I saw the recommended oil is one I don't recall
having seen in the past. Would a 5-30 be bad?

Jeep VS others by

I'm on a quest to find other like minded people who race their Jeeps.
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9l with some mods, (intake, PCM,
headers) but no major power adders like NOS or a supercharger.
The Jeep with the 360 and awd makes for a great vehicle in an 1/8 mile
race.
After quite a bit...

New PT cruiser by

Just bought a new PT under the cash for clunkers program. Great deal
for such a versatile vehicle. Only thing I don't like is the lousy

AC works good and it has a LIGHT color interior instead of the SO
boring medium and dark...

This is either a step towards (or practically is) self incrimination,
