Odyssey Oil/Antifreeze leak by
bobzel
I have a '95 Honda Odyssey and I just had an oil change about two weeks
ago. The other day I noticed a burning smell and saw some oil leaking
onto the exhaust from below the oil filter. I took it back to the shop
and they showed me that the oil leak appeared to becoming from behind
the *back* of...

a/c compressor locked up by
be nice
My 2000 Honda Accord a/c compressor locked up, the belt started to
burn. The car has 82,000 miles on it. I was able to drive it to Honda
dealer were I do all my repairs. They told me I need a new a/c
compressor, belts and it will cost $1,880.00 I was shocked at the
cost. Are they charging me too...

Penny Pinching in Features by
Fresh Mexican Food Fan aka Salsa Drinker
Owner of a 2001 Accord LX Standard here.
I recently happened to rent a Chevy Cobalt coupe. That was such a
basic car; it didn't have power windows or power mirrors etc. Yet it
had very good instrument panel, with a nice trip computer that had
mpg, thermometer, fuel range, oil life, and it even had...

Darth Jeff
I am considering buying a used 2004 accord ex(24k miles). It is a
4cylinder automatic. I have heard accords have lots of tranmission
problems. Is it only with the v6's as I believe I read once? thanks.

'89 CRX starts then stalls by
ThomasE
Lately my ’89 Honda CRX has been having trouble starting. When I crank the
engine it seems to start normally but then within 1-2 seconds the engine
immediately stalls. Pressing the gas pedal makes no difference. Usually,
after several attempts it starts. Once it starts then it drives fine. It
seems...

92 Civic, all electricity dies, comes back by
Hank[_4_]
Hi,
The car is a 92 Civic EX. My wife had reported a couple of times that
it failed to crank, but I was assuming the clutch switch was being a
little two picky. It's now happening to me, but it's not the clutch
switch.
When you go to start the car, there is electric power, warning lights
come...

Thanks for you help with my rebuild problems by
oddvark
Hey,
I posted some problems with my rebuild and got a lot of replies
telling me to put in a JDM. Well, I went to the rebuilder who said he
gives up on my engine, and agreed to pay for the JDM motor AND
install. This was done pretty quickly, and the car is running great.
Of course I'm happy about...

1993 Accord-problem when first started in the AM by
SharkHead
Car has 190,000 miles--runs fine when warm--however--when stone cold (in the
AM, been sitting all night-location Central Florida so it is not freezing
cold) and first started in the AM it makes a "wheezing" or "sighing" sound
and lacks power--these symptoms persist until it warms up and then it...

Hi,
Can you help me - what should I do?
My Honda Jazz (5dr, i-DSI, SE, 1.4L, 2002) has water collecting around
the spare wheel in the boot after rainy weather or washing. I presume

Has this happened to you? Can you help me with information about how

96 Civic transmission problems? by
Darth Jeff
I have a 1996 civic manual with 130k on the original clutch.
I have been hearing some strange noise when I first start moving until
I get around 40mph in 3rd or 4th gear.
At idle with the clutch out, you can hear the same noise though to a
lesser extent. As soon as I put the clutch in the noise...

broken timing belt=valve damage? by
Robert Reynolds
My 1987 Accord LX (with carburetor) had a timing belt failure. Is it
possible to know if my valves and pistons are trashed without
disassembling the engine? I didn't hear any loud catastrophic sounding
noises when it failed. It just stopped running.

'00 Odyssey Losing Oil, Very Dirty by
[email protected]
I need some help on a perplexing issue with our 2000 Odyssey.
After many trouble-free miles, it has begun losing oil in dramatic
fashion. We've added a 1/2 quart twice in the last 3 days of light
driving alone.
Here's the mystery:
Absolutely no oil on garage floor. Not a drop.
The coolant levels...

A weird one... by
Tegger
Just went through a sequence of emails from a guy in Georgia.
He bought a '95 V6 Accord very cheaply from the owner, who gave up on it
because he couldn't get it running.
The Georgia guy was totally stumped, so asked me for any tips I might think
of. We went through everything. There was spark,...

Yes I've heard mixed things about them, although they come 3rd on the
list in England, many people are 'only' getting mid 40s MPG, so I
question the numbers.
Anyway heres 'our' list.
