MSM and cooling by
Hal
So today it was about 104 degrees out and I was taking a little trip
in the '04 MSM. Everything was in the green, until I got off the
freeway after an 80mph or so sprint with traffic. I get stopped at the
light at the end of the ramp, get the green, and start to pull around
the corner...I look...

NC Floor Mats? by
John McGaw
Seems simple enough. My 2006 came with two sets of mats -- the carpeted
sort and the rubber sort. Both of them proved to be total rubbish with the
rubber wearing through in the matter of a six months and the carpeted in
eighteen. Typical wear pattern is a hole where my right heel sits.
So now I...

Another weird thing about my MSM by
Frank Berger
Did I mention that there isn't enough room to the left of the clutch pedal
for my foot? It's size 9 on a good day. Is the place for your foot for
show only? If you rest your foot there and lift it to clutch, it catches
the side of the clutch pedal. I wonder if the linkage can be bent a...

opps: anti freeze by
peter

i have recently been reading about anti freeze and wonder if i have
done something bad.
put a rebuilt motor in my 96 and thinking dex-cool was better, used
it.
i am now thinking that is not good.

Mazda 3 and Mazda Canada by
BQ
While I love my one-month old Mazda 3, I detest Mazda Canada. After 2 1/2
weeks of owning my M3, I noticed a ticking noise when I pressed on the gas
pedal. Took it in for a check, 1 1/2 weeks later - it had become worse, and
am told I need a new engine in my M3. Unbelievable after one month. ...

FM springs by
Lanny Chambers
I just returned from my first spin in the boonies since having FM
springs and bumpstops put on my Koni Sports.
Jeez, why did I wait so long to do this?!
So far, I can't find any downside, just less motion over the road, a
calmer ride, more control, and NO bottoming. On advice of other Koni...

Miata Poll - What would you do if your Miata were gone today? by
pws[_1_]
If you were to lose your current Miata today, be it totaled, stolen,
whatever, and received enough money to cover a replacement, all the way
up to an optioned-out brand-new one, (say $30,000 to be safe), what
would you do:
buy an older miata and keep the larger money difference?
get a brand-new...

completely OT! by

I know we have some serious computer nerds here, and I say that
affectionately, even jealously ;-)
Microsoft, in their own form of brilliance (stupidity really!), when XP
changed to Vista, Outlook Express was dropped in favor of 'Microsoft Mail'
which, is about the same but just enough...

2005 MazdaSpeed wheels/tires by
bowman
I've got a 2005 MX5 Turbo that came loaded up with fancy, still like,
new Toyo tires and Racing Hart wheels. Total mileage 7000 miles as of
07/2010. I'm considering making this car my daily driver. In which
case I'd opt for lesser wheels and a good set of Michelin all weather
tires. Any idea how...

2003 engine knock by
jasper
I have a problem with my 2003 LS. 84,000 miles. When the engine is
warmed to run condition, the enine has a very loud knock above 2100
RPM. I first thought it was the oil control valve for the VVT so I
bought a new one. The CEL ( 0012) stopped coming on, but still the
noise. I changed the VVT unit,...

Hot weather fast idle by
cmgies
Hi,
I have a 2003 NB that has air conditioning and noticed an issue last
year. I forgot about it over the winter (daily driver) and then we
started getting hot weather here in Oregon yesterday. The symptom is
that you start out, in this case I had the top down, with the air
conditioner running and...
