Replacing 2002 mustang seat belts? by
surface9
My Ford dealer wants over $200 labor to replace the seat belts (not
retracting), and he says he has to remove the back seat and then
remove the plastic moldings in both sides of the rear where the seat
belt retracts into.
I think I can figure out how to take the seat out (I hope), but, if
anyone...

THE DEMISE OF THE AMERICAN AUTOMOBILE by
krp
Say goodbye to both the Chrysler and GM brands. We can watch the death
spiral for each. Ford is not far behind. Both are set to share the fate of
Nash, Hudson, Kaiser, Studebaker, Packard, Willys and many other DEFUNCT
American brands. You will now be able to buy your HUMMERS built in CHINA....

GM Vehicles Brake Pad Replacement & Fluid Bleeding Guides by
Paul Michaels
I just spent most of last Sunday replacing the brake pads on all four
wheels of my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. I also bled the brake lines
since the brakes were exhibiting a lot of "fade" during heavy stops.
These were fairly simple procedures if you have some automotive
knowledge. I probably saved...

2009 Honda Accord Engine Oil Change Guide by
Paul Michaels
I just performed the first oil change on our new 2009 Honda Accord LX
sedan. The odometer read 5,800 miles and the oil life meter was at
20%, so I figured it was about time.
It's a fairly simple procedure that can save you money and even time
once you become familiar with it.
I took pictures...

Best Used Cars for Older Drivers
Eric Peters
Buying a used car instead of a new one can save you thousands of
dollars up front. In addition, new cars depreciate as much as 20% in
their first year. Younger drivers often buy used cars for their looks
or performance. Older drivers do, too -- but...

GM 3.8 V-6 claimed to be the BEST ENGINE EVER by some here by
krp
Can we do a time warp back to the claims that the GM 3.8 liter V-6 was the
BEST engine in world history? The little alley fight we had on that as I
suggested a rather LONG list of engines I felt were better.
Interesting news - SOON TO BE Bankrupt General Motors has had to RECALL over
1.5...

return of the classic saab from C.1975-1992? by
Saab C900 Viggenist
I hear a lot of rumours that GM execs are pondering this as a way to
'rescue' Saab. That's crap of course since it's GM that needs rescuing as
Saab if let go would get back to being it's old self and producing good
quality safe cars.
The problem is that GM has asset-stripped Saab so badly and has...
