Gas Petal Freezeup by
Alexm
About a year ago (roughly) I posted a message here about gas petal

got good responses here saying it was due to throttle body icing.
1995 Olds. At that time I...

After-market gauges by
[email protected]
I'd like to know if there is any particular brand of after-market
gauges that are a good value. I don't want the most expensive, but I
also don't mind paying for a decent quality package. I definitely want
to avoid cheap instruments.
I'd like water temp, transmission temp, voltmeter.
It will be...

78 Firebird by
njot
I have a 78 Firebird with the 400/4 barrel. The engine is stock, as
it came from the factory.
I've tuned the car up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor; carb was rebuilt a
while back). Normally, the car runs quite well.
However, if I drive it, let it sit for an hour or two and let the
engine cool off, and...

therefore I have not seen it in a bit, but she reported to me
yesterday that several problems have cropped up. I had only several
minutes this morning...

Driving With Two Brakes - Part Two by
[email protected]
It used to be many years ago, some new cars and pickup trucks from the
factories to the dealerships didn't have tires (they used tubes in those
tires back in those days) mounted on the spare wheels.I guess the
customer had to take his or her new vehicle to a tire store to have a
tube and tire...

Driving With Two Brakes - Part Two by
Mike Romain
Our car needed one wheel cylinder for a safety certification when we
bought it. The almost new shoes on that one side were soaked with brake
fluid.
The mechanic cleaned these up after the fix and re0installed them. It
then passed safety and has driven and braked perfectly since.
Brake fluid...
