R13 refrigerant replacement by
Tuomas Rantasalo
Greetings, fellow humans.
I'm in possession of one '92 Toyota Previa with A/C that needs filling
badly. The thing is that it has been using refrigerant of the type
"R13". And the a/c filling shops around here all claim never having
heard of such. Their response is along the lines: "It's R12, not...

Hello,
Thinking of purchasing a new 2009 Buick LaCrosse.
Re the On-Star system.

Also seems like a regular in dash GPS makes a lot more sense, as it would

Is motorcraft now autolite? by
Bailey B
I went looking for motorcraft plugs for my 87 Lincoln. Three major
parts stores said there is no more motocraft, its all now autolite.
Can I assume that an autolite plug is 100% the same as the motorcraft
plug that was installed at the factory in 1987?
Are the new Ford/Lincoln cars now assembled...

Problem with wiper blades or windshield glass? by
John61
This is worse and worse with my 2001 Chev Impala. Using wipers when raining
could make the windshield look even more blurred, making the driving on
rainy days very tough. Maybe the wiper blades need to be changed? or could
be the windshield glass surface needs special cleaning?
Thanks,
John

Use of Anti Seize on Vehicle Lug Nuts by
John2005
Hi everyone,
I would like to start a discussion on the use of anti seize on vehicle
lug nuts. Searching the net, there are people that claim to have used
anti seize on lug nuts for many years with no problems, and some
people that advise against it.
I have two main questions I would like to...

Liquid leaking from under car by
asdf[_3_]
I've never noticed this but at least today after driving for about 40
minutes I could see some liquid(probably water judging from looks) leaking
from under car just about where front wheels are. I've used AC so maybe
it's just the case of condensation etc but can anyone please confirm that
this is...

OK, I'm stumped...(97 Legacy Wagon overheating) by
Hachiroku
Been overheating. As some of you may have read, I tried the Headgasket in
a bottle trick. It seemed to be working but when I took it out for a
little cruise tonight it overheated. Here's what happens:
The car will go along for a few miles just fine, small rises and dips in
temperature, and then...

Is this 7MGE overheating or some other issue? by
HiC
'90 Supra with a 7MGE non-turbo. New fan clutch, radiator, thermostat,
water pump, fresh rebuild on the engine. Radiator and overflow tank
filled to correct levels.
After a few miles of running, the gauge shows it running well on the
hot side. However, when I turn it off and immediately restart,...

Disc Brake rotor runout by
Lawrence Glickman
Yah have to be kidding.
Yesterday I popped for a runout gauge, and was all confident that when
the need arises, I can measure rotor warp and runout without any
problem.
Until,
I got to the "Specifications" part of my Workshop Manual,
in which it says:

Tort Caps On Renewable Tech Tragedies by
Bret Cahill
I'm generally opposed to "tort reform" for a lot of reasons but one
exception needs to be carved out for humanity to survive:
If someone's supercap or Li ion battery explodes, trial lawyers will
never see more than $100K per head.

Buying vs Leasing A Car by

Buying versus Leasing A Car
If you are considering whether to buy or perhaps lease your next car
and which would afford you the best deal, most consumer experts agree
that from a purely financial aspect you will be better off in buying
your next car.
Of course paying cash in full is the best...

Getting rid of air pockets after replacing the front brake disc pads by
dmkAlex
When I opened up the caliper to replace the disc pad, a lot of the
brake fluid was drained from the caliper's chamber when I squeezed the
piston back in place. I notice that there was a air valve stub on the
top of the inner caliper. At the time I didn't know what it was for.
When I have put the...

2000 Mazda Protege: No brake lights!! Why? by

Was stopped by a woman today who told me that my brake
lights were not working. There are three of them and
NONE are working!
I cant imagine all three bulbs going out at same time
so checked for any blown fuses but they looked OK to
me.
So.... it has to be a relay or maybe switch in the
