2010 Miata Facelift Pics by
Carbon
I just came across a link to the 2010 MX5 remodel on jalopnik.com:
http://www.km77.com/00/mazda/mx-5/2009/g01.asp
I think it's an improvement over the current version, which always looked
a little awkward to me.

O2 sensor in muffler? by
miker
I'm looking at the Cobalt cat-back system from Moss for my '96. On the same
page they also list a "bung plug" because the system comes with "2 holes,
and 90-95 only needs one".
I thought the O2 sensor was by the outlet of the header. Are there more
south of the catalytic? Does my '96 have 2 down...

Need Miata advice by
[email protected]
I'm moving to a new place where I will have a 55-mile commute, each
way, from the Park & Ride or the Light Rail terminal. It's mostly 4-
lane US or Texas state highway. Not interstate slab, but still pretty
straight, and no hills to speak of. I want to get a 1999 or 2000
Miata for this commute...

What happened to.... by
XS11E[_3_]
..... summer? Went out to make a lap around the block this evening and
had to wear a heavy shirt??? Yesterday it was 94F, a little cold for
me but tolerable, tonight it's 65F, I was afraid of encountering polar
bears!
I may have to put the top up and fire up the heater in the Miata?
I don't...

replacing Miata top or window by
[email protected]
I own a '91 Miata with the original top. The rear window recently
cracked. I would like to get a new top but I dont know which one will
be the best for me and the way I use the car. I am not extremely
concerned about appearance although my car is all original and in good
condition. Typically I...

Window Tinting in reverse? by
XS11E[_3_]
I have the film type tint applied to the vent windows and side windows
of my Miata and AFAIK it's been there since 1992. The vent window have
bubbles and other bad spots, the side windows have scratches so I
thought maybe I'd remove the stuff.
The question is how? Anyone know an easy way to...

A few NA car parts - taking offers by
pws[_1_]
The engine/turbo/computer from the running Miata will probably be sold
as one unit, though I may part the power-train out as well.
I have removed many of the parts from the Silverstone with 128,000
miles, the parts from the red car will take longer, possibly the
beginning of October.
Located...

Power Steering ('91) by
coach[_2_]
The steering in my '91 (160K) is feeling sluggish when car is at idle. No
noticeable when at 1000 RPM or higher.
Belt was old and thought that might have stretched. Replaced belt.
Mechanic says it might be the power steering pump or it might be the
steering mechanism. His opinion is "lets...

Visited yesterday! by
XS11E[_3_]
I visited my 1992 Miata yesterday at the shop, it's original paint is
almost completely removed and most of the prep work is done so it can
be painted today. They didn't plan to strip the car but when they
tried to sand it, huge chunks of paint flaked off revealing no primer
beneath (typical...

Brake work by
pws[_1_]
I replaced a split brake line on a 1994 Camry over the weekend. Looking
at the set makes me glad to see that my stainless, (non-loosening for
over 4 years now), brake lines are not necessarily just for a cosmetic
effect.
This makes me want to replace any original brake lines after they are...

Cat rattle: wrapup by
miker
As you may recall, I had a horrendous rattle in my '96 exhaust system and,
based on the stainless-steelness of the existing Flying Miata catback and a
little judicious malleting, decided the cat was the culprit. Since the
dealer wanted $500+ for a replacement cat, I got good advice here and found
a...

Tribute Washer Jet/Nozzels on Miata by
Christopher Muto
My '95 had pathetic washer nozzles that shot a solid stream of wiper fluid
that meant having to waste a lot of fluid to get the windshield clean.
Finishlineperformance.com offers a washer jet from a Tribute as an
alternative that is a direct fit and is not only better, but also cheaper
than the...
