FWD vs. RWD by
Silent Stone
Recently I was lurking, and I read someone talk about RWD vs. FWD in
the snow (sorry, i don't remember who). It seems that most anyone I
know seems to think that FWD is safer or has better traction, and I
might remember hearing FWD cars marketed this way when they first
started appearing in the...

Toyota Motor Sales have asked us to remove their logo from this site,
and in good faith, we have complied.
Yet they continue to pursue the closure of our associated Facebook,

Just what the Toyota situation needs... by

Whatever your political leanings, surely you can see that this is pure
lunacy.
This is certainly not going to help anyone. Not even Toyota.

have to go clockwise all the way round? Does it matter?
Thanks in advance.

Toyota Says Older Models to Get Fix for Sudden Acceleration by

will receive a braking override system designed to prevent sudden
acceleration, a problem that led the company to recall millions of

The disclosure about the brake override system came in a letter from

Other automakers and Toyota issues... by

Jeezus Xavier Christ. US (sort of) car makers have been peddling their
union-made rattletraps to the buying public for how long and now can't
get enough of one issue with these Jap cars.

Any 4R70W experts out there? by
Steve Walker[_1_]
Gonna put a used one in my '06 Crown Vic cop car (83K miles), as mine
acts like it has low line pressure at low rpm. It slips at low rpm in 3
or OD, light acceleration from a stop and it slips going into 3, and OD
hunts at any rpm under 2200. Keep rpms up above 2500 while accelerating,
and all...

Could this be the LARGEST recall in automotive history?!?!? by
Hachiroku $B%O%A%m%/(B[_2_]
Not by a friggin' longshot!
#1 Ford 2008 (12 million vehicles)
In February of 2008, Ford issued the industry's largest-ever recall,
affecting Lincoln and Mercury SUVs, pickups, cars, and vans of model
years '93 to '04. The lowly cruise-control switch was behind this
mother-of-all do-overs. It...

Why are AAA charging system tests so frequently wrong? by
sweepingchanges
Due to circumstances I happen to see the result of a lot of AAA
service calls. They'll send out a "battery tech" who hooks up a
diagnostic tester to the charging system.
It seems they're constantly telling people their battery and charging
systems are "good" and jump them only to have the car die...

Maybe Toyota will just walk away with a very light slap on the wrist

brakes. ;)
