Chrysler mini va cross reference by
Raymond J. Henry
I have a 1986 Plymouth Voyageur that is in need of a trans. It's got a
4-cyl auto. The damn thing doesn';t have enough power to get out of
it's own way. I'm thinking I'd like to find a donor vehicle with a 2.2
turbo or the likes, and drop the whole works in.
Can anyone out there tell me what I...

Ford Festiva no power by
rush
Greetings,
I've got a '92 Festiva, with fuel injection auto trans, that has no power
going up hills. It acts like it's "dogging out". It's ok on level ground,
but when you take off, or go uphill, it loses all power. It's better at
higher RPM's The former owner took off the cat to see if that was...

what bends when wheels go out of alignment? by
Ted Johnson
Let's say your car is in perfect alignment, and then your wife
drives it for a few years and:
o hits a few potholes, and
o pulls in too far and hits the front tires against the
cement block at the end of the parking stall
Now the car is out of alignment (pulls to one side a bit
at freeway speeds).

Another question, stiffness and noise in power steering. by
Rob
My 2000 Malibu has stiffness in the steering and also a noise when
turning. It's not really a squealing noise, it's more like the noise
you get when wiping a window...if that makes any sense.
I have noticed stiffness in the steering for over a year now. It hasn't
really gotten anyworse. I'm...

CNG conversion by
Not Me
Played with the numbers and I can save big $$ using CNG.
I have a 04 Caravan (3.8L) and need a source of hardware to convert to duel
fuel (gas/CNG and perhaps optioinal LP).
Any input would be appreciated.

86 Grand Am clutch/starter question by
[email protected]
1986 Pontiac Grand Am, maual, 5-speed.
This model has a safety mechanism where you normally have to engage
the clutch or the starter won't crank. If you mash the clutch down
only 1/2 or 2/3 way, the engine wouldn't crank; you had to press it
almost to the floor, but not quite.. And for years this...

what's the idle speed of a small block Chevy? by
Nate Nagel
subject says all... also what is the size of the crank pulley that
drives the alternator? I have a 12SI alt. on my '55 Stude and it seems
to be marginal at idle (spec is 550 RPM in neutral) Trying to figure
out if I have an alternator problem or just need a bigger pulley.
thanks,
nate

B&S Engine Off-season Storage: drain gas tank or stabilize? by
Jim
Well the trees are turning green and the snow's finally gone, so that
means it's time to put the snowblower away. After I run it for a little
while to warm it up and then change the oil, should I keep running it to
drain the gas from the tank/carb, or should I keep gasoline in the tank
and rely on...

2000 explorer oil leak... by

I have a 2000 Explorer, 4.0 push rod with 55000 miles and now have a
small engine oil leak. Die indicates it's coming from the engine
front cover (timing belt cover) area . It is a minute leak that's
undetectable in the dipstick. Has anyone out there in Explorer land
done this type of job...

running the circumference of the outer most boot fold. I replaced these
axles in 1998 at 91,000 miles, but the car has had only 19,000 put on it
since...
