95 SW2 Wagon by
Ray Kultgen
Hi,
First time posting here. I just bought a 95 Saturn SW2. I knew it had an
engine problem before I bought it. I am prepared to change the engine; but,
before I do I have a few questions about what typically goes wrong with
these engines.
First, Cylinder 4 has no compression. The engine looks...

Steel Question by
Skid
Hello,
I was comparing car specifications, and I came across something I just need
to ask. Looking at the body material, one states composite/galvanized steel,
and the other states full galvanized steel, what is the difference? Is one
better than the other?
Thanks a lot in advanced.

2004 Saturn Vue V6 is awsome! by
Ken R
A few weeks back, my old 1990 dodge sedan died and we started looking for
something to replace it. With our growing family of 5 (and the extra stuff
one must haul as a result) we decided on a smaller SUV and went to a local
Saturn lot that had a good mix used models from various makers. The...

Black plastic repair/patch by
Chuck Reti
I recently misguided the LW200, partly sideswiping (in reverse) against
a fence post. Caught the edge of the passenger side mirror and its
housing is cracked. Also have a light but visible scratch about 2' along
the side door. Short of a trip to The Dealership or indy body shop, is
there an...

Hey folks - thanks a million for the oil filter info...it was easy to find
once you told me - but I never would have looked up there! Now, just to be
sure...the oil drain plug on Saturn Ion is the one that faces rearward that
is located over towards the passenger side...(duh?) Why do I ask? All...

Seat squeaks in Ion by
Warren
I seem to recall a thread here once upon a time about how to remedy this
problem...I just don't recall the answer unfortunately. (My seat didn't
squeak atthe time...) but now, with a whopping 3,900 (!) miles on it, the
drivers seat has an irritating squeak while driving. Kirk had a solution to
the...

Ion left turn signal by
Jason Sacks
I have an '03 Ion with about 24,000 miles on it. In almost the entire
time I've owned the car, my front left turn signal hasn't worked, and
in the back left it flashes very quickly. I brought the car in last
Wednesday and had the light harness replaced; today the problem
resurfaced.
Has anyone...

Just to be safe...anyone got any tips or helps on removing the radio

without good advice.) I am sure it prys up somewhere...somehow... Is any one

LBJGH
I've got this rattle behind my dashboard that is driving me nuts. I looked
under the dash (from the floor) and every nut and bolt that I can see or
feel is tight.
Any ideas what might be rattling? Any common stuff?

Engine Transplant...Anyone done one? by
eleer
I was wondering if anyone has put the same engine in a saturn? Is there
anything I should look out for? I have a 94 SL2, and a part of the body
block from where the alternator screws into chipped off. So I've decided
just to buy a used engine from like 6th Planet Used Parts.
Any tips would also...

2000 Saturn SL - A/C Problem by
tomtyo
I have an a/c in which the compressor does not kick in. It spins so I know
its not seized. It is full of refridgerant, at least it wouldn't take
anymore when I attempted to add some. Any ideas on what it may be and how
to diagnose it?

AC Leaking fast 94 SC2 by
sg
Hi folks.
I just got this car, 94 saturn sc2 85000 on it. Its in perfect shape
except the AC doesn't work. I tried to charge it up, it leaked out so
fast. I did some searching around and found that seals go bad. So I
replaced 2 o rings at the compressor. Tried again, no luck. It was
strange that...

2002 SL2 Idles Hot by
Joseph Bloch
I just bought a 2002 SL2 and love it but for one thing; I noticed that
when stopped at a red light or in traffic the temperature gauge goes
from slightly over 1/4 to past 1/2. Once the car gets moving again,
the temperature goes back to normal. (I've never just let it sit for
ten minutes or so to...

saturn 1991 sl2 overheating by

I had this problem for a while now. First replaced the coolant temp senspr.
Checked the fan and it's working fine. As long as I was going over 50mph
the temp. stayed in the normal range but as soon as there was a lot of
stop and go traffic it would increase. Usually turning on the AC brought
it...

transmission problem by

I have a 2000 L series Saturn sedan. They tell me that the
transmission pressure control solenoid needs replacing. While they are
at it they say they should replace the pump shaft too. Does anyone
know whether I should have the pump shaft replaced? Thanks Bronn
