Regulator troubles (power window), 94 Civic EX by
abeness
This morning the confounded driver's power window popped out of the
window channel on my 94 Civic EX, in driving rain, of course. (Luckily
we weren't going far!) I got the door apart, silicone-sprayed the window
channel for a bit of lubrication and managed to pop the window back in,
only to...

heel-and-toe position on a Civic by
bucky3
I'm trying to learn heel-and-toe downshifting on my 2001 Civic. After
several attempts at rotating my foot 90 degrees in either direction to
accomplish this task, I learned that the term is sort of a misnomer,
and is more like inside of the foot and outside of the...

Combination switch imprecise in cold weather by
Pete from Boston
My 2000 Accord's combination switch is iffy in cold weather. The left
(light) stalk is fine, but on the right stalk I have to fish around to
find the right spot to get the wipers going. It's just the twist
action -- the "mist" and washer fluid functions work fine.
Once the car warms up, there's...

What does oil- and dirt-covered surface of 2000 Honda engine suggest? by
mavigozler
I have some photos of a 2000 Honda Civic engine with 140,000 kilometers
(87,500 miles). 98% of them local, urban miles. Fuel has always been a
95 octane. Engine oil has always been synthetic (in this part of the
planet) but changed every 10,000 km (6000-7000 miles) anyway because all
the...

Using a trickle charger - any rules on this? by
y_p_w
So here's the deal. The car is a Honda Civic with a group 51 battery
(Kirkland Signature from Costco if that helps). Every once in a while
the battery is heavily drained because a light (map light or headlamp)
was left on. I do find it annoying that there is no headlight-on
warning chime or...

2000 Accord horn unreliable by
Pete from Boston
I have a 2000 Accord EX coupe and my horn doesn't necessarily work
when I press down on it. Sometimes it does if I press hard enough, or
find the right spot, or both. Does the horn switch on this car tend
to develop a short in some predictable way? Is it something a home
mechanic with some...

Intermittent air bag indicator light diags on 2003 Honda Accord by
Observer
Does anyone know if the free car diagnostics that Autozone gives, will
that run diagnostics for an intermittent air bag indicator light on a
2003 Honda Accord? Or is that an independent diagnostic?
My sympton is that if I buckle up before I start my car, all is fine
but usually (not all the...

Door open/closed sensor - 2003 Honda Civic - how does it work? by
y_p_w
So I got around to fixing the door jamb switch on a 2003 Honda Civic
LX. I think since it was sold new, the little plunger switch was
never properly connected. There's this rubber/metal cover that
protects it from the outside. The switch has what looks to be a
ground connection via three prongs...

Reliability of 2003-2005 honda hybrids? Used car shopper here. by

Hi,
I just had my Echo t-boned, and I noticed a few Honda hybrids in my
area being sold in the ~100k miles and 2003-2004 range.
One I'm specifically looking at is a Civic Hybrid, 2003, with 9x000
miles, for $7888.
Am I setting myself up for a few thousand dollar battery replacement
and maybe a...

2001 CRV hard on tires? by

My Wife's 2001 CRV has 108k and on it's 4th set of tires. The Coopers have
lasted the longest and seem to be going to last for awhile. The Bridgestone
tires did not last very long.
My Rav4 uses the exact same tire, except in size that the CRV uses. I still
run Bridgestones and with 117k am on my...

How to Remove 93 Del Sol Windshield Cowl by

How do I remove the lower windshield cowl on a 93 Civic Del Sol? This
is the plastic cover below the windshield. I see how to pull the clips
at the top of the cowl, but many of the clips for the rubber hood
gasket appear to extend into the vent. Do I just pry and snap them
off?
It looks like the...

not seem to indicate that. I have 12 volts (key on-not running) on...
