Mk 1 heater only works on recirculate? by Simon Wilson
Can anyone help with the above please? I have a (new to me) 1995 Uk spec model. Very happy with it so far. The weather's still relatively good here, still above freezing, but I've noticed that the heater doesn't really work when the air setting is on fresh air. If I move it to recirculate, then the...

I'm needing a black tonneau cover for an M1...the OEM one that covers the entire cockpit and doesn't have the headrest pockets. Anyone have one in good shape laying around gathering dust they could part with? I don't need any of the hardware. Don't ask what happened to the one I...

Anyone tried the Eibach Pro Street-S Coilovers by [email protected]
They cost about the same as the low end Koni coil over kit, but with higher spring rates(400/350). I'm looking for dual purpose car and the spring rates is pretty close to what I was looking for. Has anyone tried them out? How do they handle and ride? What's Eibach's reliability? I didn't even...

Cracks in soft top by Barry
The tan vinyl top on my 1999 Miata has developed a small (about 1/4 inch) crack on each side where the top folds, just above the window. The top doesn't seem to leak yet. Can anyone recommend some kind of goop that will seal the cracks and stay flexible enough to withstand the folding? Barry

Groaning noise from rear suspension by my_two_cent
Hello again, all my Miata friends; My 96 M Edition started making a groaning noise recently, from the rear of the car. You can place your hand on the body just above either rear wheel and press slightly and the car will groan. When driving it groans and I'm sure that it groans more, but road noise...

I have a 2007 PRHT MX-5 and would like to add some more power but I dont want to void the warranty. Is that request mutually exclusive? I would like to add a bolt on exhaust, cold air intake and if possible a bolt on turbo unit, preferably all of those would be made specifically for the above...

Oil drain plug by Clark Friedrichs
Folks, I was just at the Miata.net site looking for the torque specs for the drain plug on my '03. In the torque spec section it states 22-30 lbs for a 19mm plug. I have a 17mm plug, does anyone know the torque spec for that? Or am I being just a little anal? Thanks

latches at maximum... what else? by Joaquín Topiso
Hi there, Today I've put on my hardtop and the latches seemed loose, so I've tried to adjust its tension by turning the hex bolts in them. I've found out that they are already at its maximum, so there is no more thread available for those adjusting hex bolts. Can the Frankenstein bolts be...

1999 Miata - Gasoline odor inside the car by Pat Dreiding
In the mornings when I get in the Miata, I smell the distinct odor of gasoline. The car is garaged. No spills detected. I checked under the hood and did not smell anything so I'm assuming that the source is not in the engine compartment. My next assumption was a small leak in the gasoline supply...

rearview mirror stuck on 1992 miata by ~Mike Hollywood
Hi, the passenger side rear view mirror is manually adjusted, and it is stuck on the ball joint or whatever the stalk is called that it is sitting on. I put some torque on it and it didn't budge. Is it ok to really twist it hard to free it? What's the best way to proceed? Thanks, Mike
