'99explorer vibration by [email protected]
I just noticed my '99explorer problem with vibration, which goes away when I fill up a full fuel tank or having 4 passengers in the car. What is wrong with the car? I can not maintain a full tank all the time, or keep 4 passengers in the car either. Thank in advance for any input.

98 Explorer Timing Chain/Tensioner/Cassette/4.0L by Paul Scrutton
Rear cassette - like a bicycle? How about that. I'd get the code and seek diagnosis from another place before going back to that dealer. Engine codes are typically emission component related. I thought the timing chain didn't generally need to be replaced until the engine was rebuilt anyhow. Why...

Thanks to Jim Warman & AZGUYfor input CVT by CRAngelo
Just wanted to say thanks for your inputs on CVT transmissions. I will wait for someone else to do the testing & will look into the 6 speed automatic. Ford is not really very clear about the 6 speed as they don't mention it in their brochure or their website.( I think it's only available with 2WD,...

Climate control mode question by FerdyPooh
Do all Ford vehicles "leak" air to the floor vents when the climate control selector is set to dash outlet? Every Ford I've ever owned lets air leak through to the floor vents when the selector is set to dash outlet. It's a absolutely aggravating thing to have my feet freezing when the A/C is on....

O/D switch on 1996 by MD
My O/d switch has been on the fritz for a while now and I was just playing with it and noticed that it seems to work when the tilt steering is fully released with the steering wheel at its highest point. When I slam it down into the lowest point, drive mode for me, it doesn't seem to work. What...

Water Leak - Drivers Side by Vic
99 Explorer XLS Rain or water poured below the windshield (Near the wiper motor) comes inside the vehicle near the parking brake. It is not just a drip, but runs in. I don't think it was a gradual failure but something that happened quickly. We had been driving on rough, dusty roads so I'm...
