Battery issues by Beverly S via CarKB.com
I have a 1993 Saturn SC2 and I am about convinced this car has a gremlin. For the past year it goes through "phases" where it just won't start. If you are persistent it will start eventually....The first symptom of this problem was when I started the car I would notice that the radio was always...

A/C just quit by Beverly44high
My a/c was topped off with freon, worked great for 2 weeks, yesterday it didn't work at all. The fan blows out warm air. I was told it could have too much freon? or/ it blew the seal? Its a 94 Saturn SL1 with only 53,000 original miles, excellent shape...Any suggestions?

'03 Ion HVAC fan problem by Biker Geek
I have a 2003 Ion 2 with an odd problem. The heater/AC fan doesn't work, except in position #4. In that position, it blows about as much air as one would expect from position #1. As the car is a little over a year old and has only about 7200 miles on it, I'm expecting the dealer will cover it...

'95 Saturn SC2 with codes 19, 26 and 32 by Bill
Hello all, My daughter just dropped off her '95 SC2 for me to fix up and I have a couple of questions. I flashed the codes and got 19, 26 & 32. From what info I've found in past posts, 26 & 32 are probably both pointing to the problems in my EGR or Canister solinoids. I'm about to go...

'92 SL fan and engine temp by bill
On my 92 SL DOHC the average temp on the C to H dial is about half way; summers it moves a little over the half mark, winters it stays under. But when I get stuck in stop 'n go, it climbs up and touches the red zone. Then I do what everyone else does, I punch the a/c button, then punch it again to...

'92 SL2 Smog Check - help / advice by bill
I live in California and to register my car this year requires a smog check. I'm not really looking for "Marvel's Magic Smog Check Fix" to dump in the tank just before the check but I do want to give it the best chance of passing. I use the highest octane gas with standard plugs for a '92 SL2 DOHC...

1993 Saturn SC2 by Bill
I'm having an issue with my 1993 Saturn SC2. It drives fine for 5 minutes and then the transmission starts to slip run poorly. The temp gauge looks fine (not overheating). If I let it cool down then it drives fine again for 5 minutes. Anyone have a similar problem and solve it. Thanks,

a/c turns of SES?? by Bill
Q: I have been chasing a canister purge solinoid code (26) for a while. I had a bad Solinoid and some bad hoses -- all were leaking pretty badly. Canister is okay. I checked my wiring and PCM -- all good. But after ~30 seconds of running, the code reappears and the SES comes on. Just out of dumb...

1995 SL2 - Intermittent idle/stall issue by Bill
I have a 1995 SL2 with 102,000 miles that is not regularly used. After it sits for a few days, it won't idle correctly. On cold start, the idle settles at 700-750, but as soon as I use the throttle and then back off, it will chuff along at 400-500 or, more usually, die. The problem persists after...

Timing Belt by Bill B.
Hey Guys: I have a 01 SC1 3 door coupe 5 speed. Does anyone know at what mileage you are supposed to replace the timing belt. Some foreign cars say 60000 miles, but was not sure on the Saturn. Also when you close the sunroof, you hear a sound like a plastic gear clicking. Anyone else have that...
