Use Key Chip To Locate Key by
Dick[_1_]
I know this is far-fetched, but with the newer Accords having a chip
in the key that is read by the ignition before the car can start, what
would it take to be able to locate a lost key by reading the code with
some kind of receiver? I suppose you would somehow have to duplicate
the system in the...

Civic pollen filter(s) by
Bob Dodds
Just carried out a service on my sons 2002 1.6 Civic SE Sport and all went
well until we came to change the pollen filter. The box with the new one had
2 filters inside but on finding the filter in the drawer behind the glove
compartment it looks like only one filter required. Did I gain an...

I'm new to this group but I had a question that I am hoping someone
can help me with. I have an 05 Honda Civic.
Here's the story:
This morning I was driving to swim practice and decided that I would
park on the curb. I ended up trying to cut in too close to the curb
and scraped...

2000 accord blower by
ib[_1_]
Hi,
The fan (for heater and ac) sounds like it's working fine, on full it roars,
but very little (almost no) airflow from the vents. The airflow changes
direction when I move it from face to demist, etc, so I think the control is
working ok. The sound changes when I change the external / recirc...

Comment on car insurance by
Useful Info
*My consumer experience*
I've had insurance with Allegiance, Geico, Traveler's, and now Erie.
Geico was expensive. I knew I was paying for their prime-time TV ads.
I paid something like $1200 per year.
Traveler's was cheaper. I assumed it was the cheapest in town.
I paid $920 per year.

Changing inner tie rod end on 96 Civic by
[email protected]
Does anyone have any advice on changing an inner tie rod end on a 95
civic. I bought one at AutoZone and it comes with a strange little
tabbed washer. I'm not sure what to do with that. My manual and the on-
line version on AutoZone does not address the inner tie-rod. I'm
getting the special tool...

battery terminals and air filters by

Hello all,
I'm planning a trip to the dealer to have the oil change done and
it seems like they charge for simple things like cleaning battery
terminals. Can this be done easily w/ household chemicals?
What about the air filter? It has been changed once and now the
car is at 45K. Not sure if it's...

overheating? by

I have a 95 Honda Accord. Whenever we let it idle or drive for a while
afterward there is a boiling sound from the radiator overflow tank. At
first we thought it was just low so we filled it to the max and then
let it suck up whatever it needed and then refilled it. Now, it seems
to be at an...

Daytime running lights for my 97 accord by
Ron
Hi,
I just imported a 1997 Honda Accord Ex Wagon from the USA to Canada.
In order to register the vehicle, I need 2 things.
1st, I need to have daytime running lights. Is there
and easy fix for this? ie: just plug in a module.
Last year I imported a Miata, and all I had to do
was to unplug a...
