Some of the older games choose from a table of resolutoins based on

SimRaceway - anyone trying it? by
GaryR
It is a good idea, though currently still having teething problems.
"One click" and you udownload the necessary mod/track to enter your
chosen race. The hard part is going to be standardizing the
installation routines. Some of the mods unpack into /rFactor, some are
exe's, some tracks fo to...

World Racing Series demo - well worth a look by
Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
http://www.worldracingseries.net/
Not the prettiest sim engine in the world, but perfectly adequate. And with all the
aids turned off this trip around Lime Rock is -- IMO anyway -- rather impressive.
It felt a little sterile at first, but with the aids off I soon started to push the
envelope and...

Shift demo? by
Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
http://www.n4g.com/ClickOut.aspx?ObjID=396484
Can't report how kosher this is, and I haven't needed to try it, but apparently
this German site has a 1.1Gb demo available for download. News and download sites
will no doubt spread soon enough if it's for real.

I've no idea whether you're right or wrong because a NFS:Shift-style blur had
descended upon this conversation a few posts ago. It is a shame though that this
group can never really hold itself together for...

Suburu Impreza vs Mitsubishi Lancer by
Farley
Downloaded a car mod for rFactor today that has both Lancer and
Imnpreza. Just so happens that those are the two cars on my buy list but
I am leaning towards the Lancer so far. You think this mod will give me
an accurate representation of which is the better car?

Nuts and Bolts of sims (or is that sticks and stones?) by
Byron Forbes

Must see for any simmer with a bit of an understanding of physics/math - but
even a buzz for anyone really, especially the sticks and stones stuff! :)

N2003 and Momo on 64 bit OS? by
Don[_21_]
Hey gang,
Anyone know if any major issues getting N2003 to run on Vista 64 bit, or
Windows 7 64 bit for that matter?
Also, how about the original red Logitech Momo wheel/pedals?
Thanks for any tips here,

Red Momo --> cheap G25 = unexpected laptime improvement by
Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
I cracked this week and bought a G25 for 99 of our UK pounds (coming to a devalued
currency shop near you any day now!) I'd been waiting for the 27 to be reviewed,
but this price was far too good to miss. It's 50ukp less than I paid for the Momo
about, er... seven years ago? Something like that...

NFS Shift - wondering how sim like it will be? by
jeffareid
The team working on NFS Shift includes 25 former GTR employess.
EA has the money, the people, the resources, and apparently
access to quite a bit of real world data to create a very
good sim-oriented game. In the case of Undercover, an arcade
game, in the video interview with Marc DeVellis, he...

The good parts about iRacing (I'm done ranting now) by
jeffareid
After visiting my friend doing the free trial again, I did notice that
the drivers are quite courteous, at least with the rookie Soltice
events, so the SR factor seems to be helping. I think it would help more
if its formula was actually explained. For NR2003, laps per incident
is easy to figure...
