Frank Boettcher
The gas gage on my 99 T & C is going beserk. Initially showing
partially filled on a full tank. Low fuel light and audible alarm

Looking at my Haynes manual, it looks like the tank has to be dropped

Steeering noise, '99 T & C by
Frank Boettcher
My '99 T & C 3.8L with 140,000 miles has just started to "whine" or
"groan" when steered. Most noise coming on the wheel return part of
the cycle. I can't feel any vibration or catching in the steering, it
works fine. Fluid is up. What might I suspect is making the noise?
Thanks
Frank

99 T & C spark plug change - follow up by
Frank Boettcher
Well, I completed the spark plug job today. What a PITA.
Back side driver and middle got from below with" relative" ease with a
small 3/8" ratchet and a short extension. Vehicle was jacked up and
on short stands to give me working room.
Passenger side rear required the removal of the top...

Ceramic Brake Pads - '99 T & C by
Frank Boettcher
Follow up to an earlier post.
Well I ordered some Akebono ProAct ceramic pads for my '99 and I
installed them today. What a difference! The growling and minor
pulsing has gone. the braking action is smooth and uniform at all
speeds. I hope it also reduces the dusting that was occuring...

Ceramic Brake Pads - T & C by
Frank Boettcher
Anyone using Ceramics on '99 or so T & C. Last brake job I got they
put some real junk pads on. Noisy (growl at low speed stop) and dust
real bad. Thinking about dumping the pads and replacing with
ceramics.

Tran pan leak 99 T & C by
Frank Boettcher
So I go to Cottman (who have done good work for me in the past) and
get a full drain, flush, pan drop and clean service on my
transmission. Verify proper fluid. A few weeks later I notice a very
minor oil leak on my carport. I didn't put two and two together and
figured I had developed an oil...

Dodge Dakota ABS/Speed sensor by
Frank Boettcher
About six months ago my ABS and Brake lights started to stay on
intemittantly on my 98 Dodge Dakota. Sometimes on Sometimes not.
After several months of this the lights stayed on permanently. I was
advised to change the speed ring sensor on the differential which I
did on 9/6/05 and the problem...

On my 1999 T & C 3.8L the cruise control stopped working, (the cruise

panel) within a few hours of that happening, the airbag light came on
and stayed on.
Brakes light switch seems to be working, and I am getting no

99 T & C transmission fluid change by
Frank Boettcher
I'm due a trans service on my 99 T & C. Opinions, please, on the
relative advantage of a flush and fill service at either the dealer or
one of the quick lube places vs. a pan drop drain/filter change which
I might just do myself.
Thanks,
Frank

99 T & C, rear shocks, mounting bolts. by
Frank Boettcher
Anyone know what the thread is on the mounting bolts for the rear
shocks on a 99 T & C.
it seems to be 12mm but I don't know the pitch. Took the old shocks
off and two of the four bolts are not usable. One was bent (appears
the bottom of the shock hit something) and another was galled. ...

For several months, my abs and brake light have been coming on for a

connections then defer to the...

Well, I changed the sensor and it is fixed.
However, maybe one of you Chrysler technicians can clear something up
