Well, back to the SL1 by
Joe[_6_]
Had the chance to "swap" my 1995 SL1 for a 2002(?) SW2 wagon. My SL1 has
160,000 miles, eats oil and is stick. The SW2 is auto, doesn't eat oil and
has less than 60,000 on it. It is also in perfect condition. Cost to swap
for me would have been $0. However, I just "returned" the SW2 to my...

weird compression readings!!! by
Darryl
Okay, so here goes;
As I was preparing to depart in my 2000 SW2, I sat down and fired her up.
She ran for about a half second, then died. When I hit the starter again,
the engine spun quite fast, as if there was no longer any compression in the
cylinders. And of course, it didn't run. Just...

Water pump went on LW300 by
Oppie
Can't complain too bitterly, got 98K on the car when the water pump bearing
started to go. Time to do the timing belt as well.
I could do the water pump myself the the timing belt requires too many
special tools. Left it off at buddy's garage and waiting for the bad news.
Keeping my fingers...

water pump - '97 SW2 by
just another
Hoping for advice on replacing a water pump in my wife's '97 SW2. I don't have a repair manual.
It looks like it can be done from the top.
What are the bolt sizes? Any "gotchas"?
The part seems mercifully inexpensive, $41 at NAPA. Also I was very pleased with the way it
failed: it's been leaking...

Water Pump by
Mikus
</Sarcasm Mode=On>
Can you believe that the water pump on my 92 SC started leaking! Lame! I
mean what kind of crap is Saturn turning out! I mean that lame thing only
lasted 13 years. AND the then I discover a small leak on the end cap of the
radiator! What kind of crappy car is that? Lame!

water leaks into front of instrument panel by
jdcamper
can anyone shed any light on why my 1996 SL-1 Saturn is leaking water into
the area under the instrument panel on the driver side. Water flows down
the console and puddles in the divers floor panel. Appears to be coming
down in front of windshield into an area near the rubber flap on the
engine...

Water leak in sun roof by
Rugby153
I had a water leak in 2003 VUE sunroof.
It was so bad that the drains in the roof clogged up and the water leaked
into the car and wiring harness, the car would start but the throttle was
rendered out of service, broken down due to a water lesk. 2 times to
dealer, and they cleared drains but did...

Water Injection - What does it do? by
Buzz
I remember years ago people were putting water injection kits on their
engines. I beleive it was a water tank with a hose running into
either the air intake near the carb or maybe directly into the intake
manifold. A small oriface metered the amount of water that was sucked
in.
What did it do...

water in the tranny fluid by
thealmightyandpowerfuldave
i have a 95 sc2, and lately it had been shifting hard, and not wanting to
shift into 3rd. it would either stick, or try to force itself into 3rd and
"give up" (so i'd be going down the highway at 65mph while it sticks in 2nd
because it wouldnt go to 3rd), or it would do 1st, 2nd, and 4th (only...

Water in Dash by
Jon H.
97SC2
Anyone ever have problems with water (you can hear it trickling when you
accelerate or turn) in dashboard. No leakage, mold or mildew but what
happens when it freezes???? (AC evaporator has been checked and
drained). Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Water evaporates from SEALED car batteries! by
[email protected]
I have a sealed battery that is 3 years old. It lost its charge. I
pried open the top plate which covers the cells (with a screwdriver)
and squirted water into the cells. I then glued back the top plate.
The battery works fine now.
Anybody tried an easier way - like drilling a 1/4" or 3/8" hole...
