lubing your speedo cable by Alex M. Postpischil
Hi all- I saw the relatively recent thread on lubing the speedo (at least I think it was here), and tried to lubricate mine today. The problem I has is that the housing on the end of the cable was sealed so that I coudln't get any of the spray lube to go into the cable. Anyone have any ideas on how...

FS:90b red in Las Vegas by Alex M. Postpischil
Hi all- I've decided it's time to replace my my 90b. While I was heavily tempted to get the NC, I'm opting for an NB (mainly to keep costs down and I like some of the NB styling over the NC). The car is in the Las Vegas area and is sold as is/where is. The car is in pretty decent shape for its age...

Hi- Anyone here have any recommendations for mechanical shops in the northern MS or Memphis areas?? I got spoiled living in Northern VA and having PBC on my doorstep. Now I'm in Oxford, MS and am in need of a good shop for my Miata! Help!! While I'm at it, any fun Miata roads in this...

MCA & other clubs? by Alex M. Postpischil
Hi all- Back in the day, when I had spare time, I helped create a chapter of the MCA (Chesapeake). Since I left it seems to have all but vanished (as has the MCA??)... I know there was some friction between clubs, owners, and the MCA and other groups were started. Then I saw something Mazda...

05/06 comparison by Alex M. Postpischil
Hi all- While I'd love to keep driving my 90b forever, it's starting to get to the point where fixing it is costing too much (though mostly minor stuff). While I had it in the shop a few weeks ago I milled about the showroom... While I was really drooling over the Rx8, my heart tells me to stick...

1995 MX5 valuation (UK) by Alex Price
Can anyone give me a rough vavlue of a 1995 MX5. Not sure what the specific model is (maybe an S or is it iS). It's been sat for a number of years and the owner is looking to shift it, the valuation books I have don't go back that far. Needs some TLC (and tyres). Any...

Stalling Issue by [email protected]
I have a 92 Miata with almost 90k miles. The engine stalls sometimes when I engage the clutch and put the shifter into 1st gear. If I leave the shifter in neutral then no problem. Sometimes the engine doesn't stall but rpms drop very low but when I take the shifter out of 1st gear then back to...

Freeplay in steering. by Alf Loizeaux
My '92 Miata has about 3/8" to 1/2" freeplay in the steering wheel at all positions of rotation (measured with the car at rest). My service mechanic says that he can find no loose parts and no play in the steering linkages. He believes that the play is in either the rack and pinion or in the lower...

Stuck ignition key by Alf Loizeaux
This morning I tried to start my '92 Miata and I could not turn the ignition key. After I jiggled the steering wheel a bit, the key finally turned and I started the car. I drove to the bank and parked it. When I came back to start it, I had the same situation again. The wheel had to be jiggled...

1.8 NB FL brake discs on 1.8 NB? by Alfa
Is it somehow possible to fit NBFL brake discs (10.9 in front and 11 in rear) to 2001 NB Miata (Standard 10 in front and 9.9 in rear) without changing brake calipers? Is there some kind of adapter for calipers to be able to fit bigger discs? Thanks!

Miata air scoop by altar nospam
I just installed the scoop that directs air down to the feet when it's hot. That's bothered me ever since we bought the Miata. 95 degrees outside and my feet are cooking down there. It apparantly works like it says it's supposed to. I'm tickled with it. I have no affiliation whatsoever with the...

Mark I Miata Wiper Problem by AM
Hi, I own a 'V-Spec' 93 Miata, and the wiper will not operate. I noticed this when it started to rain heavily and at first, the blades worked sporadically. Now however, they don't move at all. Perhaps water entered the wiper mechanism? When I move the stalk to the first 2 settings, I hear a...
