Do Fuel Tank Additives (Techron) Work? by Finite Guy
Hi All: Just wondering if anyone has ever proven that these fuels additives at the automotive stores really work. I tried using Techron and it seems odd that this little amount of fluid diluted with a tank of fuel is going to do anything at all. I also recall that there are poeple who swear by...

Rain-X removal by [email protected]
I have created a problem on my wife's 2003 300M Chrysler. I cleaned the windshield, then applied Rain-X. Somehow that application ended up streaked, so I wanted to remove it and re-apply. I used a windshield polish that has worked well for me before in removing all the road tar, sap etc....

changing headlights by I love Edsels
I have a 97 Ford Ranger and don't like the headlights. I've been told that replacing them w/ lights 01 or newer will make a big difference. Do they just bolt right into place like the existing ones? Or do I need to make some alterations? TIA Tom Seattle

'98 Forester-harsh 1st to 2nd shift by Stephen Early
I have a '98 Subaru Forester with automatic transmission and all wheel drive. The 1st to 2nd shift is very abrupt, even if you're accelerating gently. It feels even a bit more harsh than a full-throttle shift. The fluid was changed but that didn't help. One mechanic says there's nothing that...

It is an 88 gasoline 300E, straight 6 cyl. auto trans, and it is getting more difficult to get into high gear. I sometimes can hit the passing gear and it will upshift, after a surge forward for a few hundred feet, great going then, when it does upshift to high gear. but mostly it likes to run in...

TIRES: Profile VS. Speed rating by ChrisCoaster
Suppose I own a typical mid-80s GM midsize, tire size is 75R14", S-rated. Which will improve driveability: Buy same size as above, but H-rated. -or- Plus-size to, say, 65R15, staying S-rated. Thanks, -Chris
