Another Miata Owner by Ken Lyons
All these years of pestering people about the Miata virtues, pointing out $3,000 examples in the Sunday paper, letting them drive mine while hoping to drum up some company in Miata-hood among my friends it has finally happened. I got an e-mail from a friend in New Jersey telling me he is picking up...

Headrest speaker questions by Dave Smith
My wonderful wife gave me a gift certificate to GoMiata.com. I'm thinking about getting the Clearwater headrest speakers for my '97. It has an Alpine stereo with Boston Acoustics door speakers in it now and I'm pretty happy with the sound, but I'm always looking for ways to improve. A few...

Roll Bar/brace & Shock tower brace installed by Larry Hill
Hello, Put the roll bar /brace in yesterday. Took 3 hours and some cussing and drilling. Not real difficult. It has a rattle inside the bars when I hit a bump. I did tighten the 2 bolts that came with it. Ya think someone that built this fake rollbar put something inside as a joke? Maybe that is why...

Hi Guys I know this is a Miata forum but its also the only ram. forum for mazda. I'd just like to know what is involved in replacing the waterpump on the above car? I'd like to do it myself and save money on labor if its not too tricky and I can do it with the typical do-it-yourselfer...

monster garage by Classicred03
Hey. Does anyone watch Monster garage? I was flipping through when I saw a blue NA on there. I only caught the very end. Anyway, They were turning into a boat. I guess they wanted a light car that was also rear wheel drive so they could use to drive shaft as a propleer for the rear, but that is...

Variable Valve Timing by Brian Turner
I have a 1999 Miata. How do I tell if it has variable valve timing? I think this option started in 2001 but not sure. Is this different than the Boost Control? Also, can I usea 90-97 manual to repair a 99? There does not seem to be an aftermarket manual for anything newer that 97. Brian.....

Stupid Americans! -- Stupid... Stupid... STUPID!!! __________==___ utivro by Expmiata
This particular spam has hit many newsgroups. Responding doesn't do a thing anyway. I truly doubt this person takes the time to go back to all those newsgroups to see who responds. Therefore, I am just going to enjoy my miata.....no matter who is president :) ~Cissy :-)

Replacing window cables by Eric Baber
Hi, The window cable(s) in my MX5 have broken/snapped and I'm about to replace them. I've got the replacement parts (two cables & plastic drum) but can't find any instructions - I've checked on miata.net but haven't found anything. Does anyone know of any instructions anywhere? Thanks Eric

cheap Miata for sale near here by tonyrama
I was out and about today and I went down into a wholesale lot looking for a vehicle for my mother, and what did I see but an M1! I couldn't believe they had one there, so I pulled in to see it. It's a '95, it looked green under the lights but the guy there said it was blue, it had a tan top with...

switching hard dog rollbars by pws
The car that I am looking to buy has a Hard Dog Hard Core rollbar that does not allow a hardtop. My wrecked car has a Hard Dog Sport rollbar that I would rather use. Has anyone here ever switched out one rollbar for another in the same car? I am wondering if the holes are likely to fit or if I...

Top Boot Cover for 1999 Mazda Miata ($50 ) by girish.subramani
Top Boot Cover for 1999 Mazda Miata ($50) I got this with my Brand new miata 1999 when I bought the car in sept 1999. I used it only twice, I was too lazy to fit that and drive around :-). The cover is in excellent condition since I used it only a couple of times. The dealer price for a new one is...

Unsolicited unpaid testimonial by JEN LURA
I am not disagreeing, but why do corvettes and vipers run such large tires? I would suspect they were designed to use them from the start.

Paint Paste by Gary
Has anyone had luck mixing Miata touchup paint with something else, like car wax, and putting that over spots that need tweeking. Why? Puttting the touchup direct usually looks worse.

Deer Whistlers - Any Good? by pws
Having already lost one miata to a deer collision, and a lot more driving through deer country to look forward to, I am wondering if those plastic deer whistlers are actually effective. This is my first large animal of any kind to hit in my nearly 20 years of driving, so I can't be sure if I have...

WD40 on electric windows? by Eric Baber
Hi all, My electric windows are slowing down so I think I'll grease the runners. Is it ok to use WD40? I think the main consideration is whether it's likely to get into anywhere electrical and short it out of it conducts electricity; does it, does anyone know? (Conduct electricity, that...
