Oil Change for a 2001 Buick Century by
jarl
I just purchased a 2001 Buick Century and it states in the manual that
I do not need to change the oil until the 'Change Oil Light" comes on
which could be up to 10,000 miles. Is OK or should I change every 3000
miles? I live Dallas, Texas which not too dusty but I wanted to get

protecting bumpers from scratches - what works? by
[email protected]
I am considering buying a new car. It usually doesn't take long before
my front and rear bumpers are full of paint scratches and chips
(paralell parking in tight city spaces). Can anyone recommend a film
product or bumper strips that actually work well and look reasonable on
a new car?
Thanks

How does towing work? by
gnubee
If I have a AAA membership, and my car breaks down at night, I can have them
tow my car to a shop or my dealer. I've never needed to have my car towed, so
I don't know how this works. If my car breaks down at night, and I have it
towed to a shop/dealer who has already closed, do I just leave my...

Michelin Harmony by
[email protected]
I am considering getting Michelin Harmony tires for my Toyoto Avalon.
Michelin shows a rating of "7" (out of 10) for "Quiet Ride", however I
have no idea what a "7" means. Does anyone have experience with the
quietness (or noiseness) of these tires?

Good tire search engines? by
Mark Carroll
Are there any tire search engines out there that will let you search
by many criteria at once? I've been looking for 225/45 17" all-season
tires with NHTSA traction rating AA and a W speed rating, but it's
hard to search on those criteria on the sites I've found. Browsing
through a lot of sites and...

Power Window Water Soaked and won't close by
Jan
Wondered if someone could help with this. I left the windows open
yesterday and went to July 4th activities. Horrible rainstorm came and
I couldn't get to the car to close them. Now the passenger side window
won't close. This is a 91 Quest Minivan. The two rear windows don't
work either. ...

daewoo swaying by

I had two new tires and an alignment done and the car stills veers off
while driving. Mechanic says it checks out fine. He drove it and said it
is okay and that it is just the way it handles. Well, he never did it
before and I have never driven a car that did this. It feels like you hit
an ice...

I'm doing research for a novel that will no doubt make me instantly
rich and famous and worshipped all over the globe. Meanwhile, however,
I need advice. Here's the scenario:
A party crowd, very well-off, gathers for an outdoor wedding. There is
valet parking. The low-end car is probably an...

Torque and HP Curvers by
Ron Ayoub
I'm confused by torque and horsepower curves. My first question which
may be the sole source of confusion is what is being measures, the
force on the crankshaft and the work done by the spinning crankshaft or
the force on the drivershaft and the work done by the spinning
driveshaft?
If the answer...

navigation system by
Chris
An article highly recommended the Audiovox NPD5500, which automatically
checks traffic reports and describes the fastest route. Sounds
great... but other people have told me Audiovox is crap. Opinions?
And, BTW, does anyone know if the Audiovox has a built in tuner/CD
player?
Thanks.
