yet another issue with the '96 Caravan... by [email protected]
I swear I'm gonna blow this thing up... Same 1996 3.3L caravan that I replaced the fuel pump on and mysterious tensioner issues. Last night while coming home from work I noticed the engine started making a knocking sound. I'm not sure what rod knock sounds like, or even what causes it, but this...

Cruiser running hot - Any thoughts? by tomkanpa
My 2001 PT is running on the hot side. Not overheating, but above normal. The fan comes on. It was down over a pint of coolant. No leaks visible on the the garage floor, no coolant in the oil. Could being only this low in a 6.5 quart system cause it to run on the hot side?? Radiator cap? Thermostat?

'00 Voyager Compressor questions by bruce
The clutch on my '00 Voyager's compressor grenaded itself this winter. I'm presuming the compressor siezed and the compressor engaging with the defroster caused the bearings to fail. I guess I was lucky it didn't shoot the bearings out through the radiator, and I was close enough to home that I...

I hope Chrysler gets their "stuff" together with the new 2007 Sebrings by Scott Koprowski
With the introduction of the 2007 Ultima and 2007 Camry the midsize market is even tougher. I'm a die hard Chrysler fan and was hoping for a Civic competitor with the Caliber but it seems Chrylser failed. I'm starting to be afraid the Sebring will again be another disappointment. I've seen the spy...

'02 PT Cruiser fog/dash lights coming on by themselves by [email protected]
My co-worker has an '02 PT Cruiser. A couple times during the day, the fogs lights as well as the dash lights come on by themselves. This started about 2 weeks ago (seems like when the weather started getting warm). She has to go outside and turn them off. Sometime later they come on again. ...

94 GC Stereo Installation... by NewMan
I am looking at installing a new stereo into the dash of a 94 GC. The first thing that I noticed is that the footprint of the stock stereo is not "standard". What a pain in the ass. So I got a kit to allow the install to look pro by filling the gaps. However, I have never tried to pull the dash...

97 Intrepid "Check Engine" Light Codes 12 & 43? by [email protected]
A few weeks before my '97 intrepid is due for a NY inspection the check engine light comes on. ARGH!! I did the on-off-on-off-on ignition thing and the returned numbers we 1-2-4-3-5-5 I assume this means I have two reasons why my check engine light is on 12 and 43. True? Can anyone point me...

1990 Dodge Spirit by [email protected]
It seems there are alot of cars with this problem. I've changed the thermostat, checked gages, etc, but to no avail. The temp needle goes eratic, there is tons of antifreeze in the car, but one other thing about this problem and I know it's all linked in the heater/cooling system. The engine...

2.5L Coolant Temp Sensor Replacement by jmcgill
I have to replace the coolant temp sensor on my 2.5L engine. I may be an idiot for asking, but do I have to bleed the cooling system after I take out this old sensor, or can I just plug in the new one with no adverse affects (assuming that the sensor was the only problem)? Thanks, Joe

Noisy brakes on 1996 Chrysler T&C with ABS by D. Dean
My '96 Town and Country started making noises a couple of years ago when braking. Noise seems to eminate from the rear drums. Particularly in warm weather, they make a loud "Whump, Whump, Whump, etc." sound and the brake pedal pulsates slightly. I've had three different mechanics check it out...
