Do most of the vintage auto clubs have local chapters all over North America? Is there a couple of website someone can recommend that would have contact information? Thanks, George ---------- Collector's Website

Vintage Auto Key Blanks by The Guy
Hello, Can anyone direct me to a source for vintage auto key blanks? Specifically, I am looking for Corbin key blanks, with a C08 profile, which were used on 1920s vintage autos. I have been able to locate old Ilco 1000K blanks which have the same profile. But I would really like to find some...

vintage A/C bracket by N8N
any hints as to possible mfgr. of this bracket, and/or where to find a tensioner pulley? http://members.cox.net/njnagel2/55AC/55AC.html The one that Vintage Air sells for its own Studebaker A/C bracket looks similar, so I think if nobody has any better information I may just call them tomorrow...

very old, old and new cars. by Stude
Driving home from the auto museum in my only car yesterday, I realized that if you subtracted the age of the car from the year it was built, you get 1919! Cars changed one hell of a lot more between 1919 and 1963 than they did between 1963 and now. 1963 cars could have power windows, steering and...

valvetrain problem? by Gerard
today i adjusted all of my valves... last time since i did it was about 5000 miles ago. i found that 13/16 of the rockers were pretty loose - in the sense that the pushrods were easily turnable in their place. i don't think this is normal for the preload to come undone after only 5k miles, is it?...

I took the head off my MG midget 1500 and have one shattered valve but found parts in all the cylinders, really weird, any thoughts on this, like if they could be sucked all the way around the manifold???

Value of Barrett Brake Dokter? Ford Model A etc. by PeteM
Anyone have an idea of what a Barrett Brake Dokter might be worth?? I bought one, thinking I'd cut it up to make a tool post grinder for my lathe. Thought I'd check if this had more value to someone who actually needed to true up conventional drum brakes.

Value of a 56 Coupe de Ville by Carl Price
I know that this is a long shot and without actually seeing the car it is difficult to put a price on this car, but I've been offered $6000 and I'm not sure if I should take it. The car was originally purchased in 1957 by my great uncle from the daughter of the Caddy dealer in Tucson. It was his...

used car parts, from england to usa? duties? customs? currency conversions? by dave
I'm considering buying two (specialty) =used= car carburetors from england; the deal's 'all agreed to' but awaits my payment. meanwhile I have no CLUE where to investigate wether or not 'duty' or 'customs' applies to the transaction (google searches are no help, either), and, if duty/customs DOES...
