He use his fingernails and made three scratches an inch apart from each other right around the car. He felt really bad, only 6 years old. I tried waxing it, but didn't help. I then bought a buffer and tried that. It helped hide them, but they showed through a few days later. Paint is...

1 Attachment(s) Re. When The Battery Light Comes On by John
It's probably the alternator. But couldn't it be just a belt that has to be tightened or replaced?

Auto Door Lock Relay 93' SL1 by Gary Compton
Does anyone out there know the location of the auto door lock relay on a 93 SL1 sedan? By process of elimination, I think I've traced the problem to the relay, but I can't find it. When I click the door lock switch, I'm hearing a clicking sound that seems to emanate from under the center...

rear speakers by Zaphod
I would like to replace the rear speakers in my 95SL1. You would think that this should be a fairly straight forward job but for the life of me I can not figure out how to remove the retainer clips that hold down the grill cover. Chiltons isn't any help it just says to remove them but not how to...

Headlight/DRL Problem by Phillip Harbin
A few weeks ago I had an unusual problem develop with my 1999 SL1. My DRLs would not work, and my headlights would stay on high beam (couldn't toggle back to low beam at all) whether I had the headlights turned on or not (the high beam indicator was always on also). I unplugged the DRL...

Headlight flickers by Oppie
No big deal but I notice that when I flash the high beams on my '01 LW300, the passenger side headlamp flickers a few times (about one second) and then stays on normally. I noticed this mostly with the headlamps off and just the daytime running lamps on. It does make for a more eye-catching effect...

I have a 97 SL1 Manual Transmission Saturn that would hesitate when I accelerated. I changed the fuel filter...then I changed the fuel pump. It works 80% better but I still get a little hesitation when I give it the gas. Almost like it bogs down initially and then quickly comes out of it. Plus it...

Just bought a 1997 SL1 with 72,000 miles on it. Was told by the previous owner everything is perfect. Gold color outside and the tan interior are awesome and the 4 doors feel heavy and reassuring. On the 1st day I used a/c and 10 minutes into the ownership a red beattery light came on. I...

Low Fuel Light by BR
Have a 1997 SL2. Lately the fuel gauge is flipping over to 'E' and the light comes on. Although usually going over a bump will reverse this and bring the gauge back to normal. What could this be? The sensor within the tank?

95 engine cooling fan by dk
Here's my problem. I have a 95 SL1 that overheated today. The cooling fan did not switch on. I first checked the fuse and saw that it was blown and I replaced it. I then disconnected the connector to the fan motor, connected up a jumper and the fan ran fine. I reconnected everything and allowed the...

Is it the oxygen sensor? by Bill ing
Needing a coroboration of opinions here... 200,000km/120,000Mi. on a 97 SL1 which has had amazingly little trouble. But the "Service Engine Soon" light is now lit steadily and I haven't driven it through a puddle and it's the same low grade gas I've been using for the last few years. The plugs...
