tire recommendations by
Milleron
I'll soon be replacing the OEM Bridgestone Turanzas on my '03 Accord
V6. The tread life and fuel economy they've given have been
outstanding, but the handling leaves something to be desired. For
example, I've found myself slowing to 60 mph in strong, gusting
crosswinds while other drivers, even...

Rust in coolant by
[email protected]
On a routine coolant change, I noticed that the radiator is spewing out
a lot of rust. I filled and drained the coolant a couple of times, but
there still seems to be a lot of it.
The rust wasn't there during the last coolant change. What could have
caused it? Is it a bad sign?

GPS Navigation question by
planetx
I am considering buying a 2007 civic EX with the gps. I was trying to
find some manuals online to see how good a system this is, but I
cannot.
1) Can you set the sytem to route only highway? or avoid highways?
2) is this the same system in the acura? my friend has a 2006 acura and
they looked...

Valve clearance question by
[email protected]
I adjusted the valve clearances on a '95 Civic, 1.6L DOHC non-vtec,
yesterday, with good results. However I read on an older thread that,
while measuring the gap, you should push down on the other end of the
rocker arm to eliminate slack.
Should I have done this?
Any other things to adjust to...

Throttle Body Coolant Bypass? by
[email protected]
I live in a hot climate, where it never snows, it's always humid and
the coldest it gets is around 84 degrees Fahrenheit (93 in the shade in
summer!).
Even if a throttle body coolant bypass doesn't gain any HP (and I hear
from Mista Bone it doesn't), wouldn't it be "kinder" to the cooling
system...

Have you had your V-6 auto transmission replaced? by
George Earl
I just had the automatic transmission in my 2001 Accord LX-V6 replaced
under warranty. I'm at 90k miles, so I have only 10,000 more miles to
go before I'm playing Russian roulette with the replacement
transmission.
I'm curious for real life experiences or scuttlebutt on how long these
replacement...

Research for my A2 assignment on Honda dealerships by
mr tech
As part of my A level A2 Graphics with Materials project I am looking
at the client's perception of dealerships amd what would possibly
attract potential buyers into the dealership.
I am looking at a specific dealership in Plymouth, SW UK, but would
welcome any responses to the questions outlined...

Still at the dealer by
KellyCrash
My car is still at the Honda dealer....
They replaced the coil. They replaced the sensor. Engine still
misfiring. They cleaned the fuel injectors. Engine still misfiring.
Last I heard they had replaced a fuel injector and are testing it.
I have called the 800# way back when I first started...

Fast Idle Valve Disabled? by
[email protected]
My Civic '95 ESi (1.6L SOHC non-vtec D16 variant), had a high-idle
problem before. When warm, there was suction at the TB lower port
(which according to the manual, there shouldn't be). I temporarily
"fixed" the problem by blocking off the fast idle valve.
When started cold, the EACV seems to be...

2007 CRV. Alloy vs Steel wheels by
planetx
I am considering a 2007 CRV and was going to get a 2WD EX but now I am
deciding on getting a 4WD LX. I drive in light snow sometimes and heavy
rain quite a bit.
A couple of questions:
1) I read that 4WD is actually not too good on the CRV--has the 2007
improved?
2) Is there any benefit to getting...

'99 Accord EX V6 engine stuttering by
[email protected]
Yesterday I replaced my spark plugs (the gaps were HUGE) and since I've
been noticing poor fuel economy the last month or so, I decided to run
1/3 of a can of Seafoam in through the Brake-assist vacuum line.
Shortly thereafter, I got in the car and did a good 160 miles of
highway driving.
After...

Replacing Timing Belt on '98 Odyssey by
Doug B
My '98 Odyssey has 158,000 miles on the original timing belt, and I'm
done tempting fate.
Just two questions...
#1. Any gotchas or special tools needed?
#2. Anything else I should replace while I'm in there?

Clutch Noise Problem by
Greg[_5_]
Awhile back I posted a topic about my 2000 Civic Si's chirping sound:
"My 2000 Civic Si is makes a squeaking/chirping noise when the engine
is running. I can make the noise go away by putting a very small amount
of weight on the clutch pedal. I can also make the noise go away if I
gently push in on...
