Low-speed suspension noises? by
Percival P. Cassidy[_2_]
2002 300M with Performance Handling Package. 135K miles.
Not-so-loud low-pitched "clunking" noise on uneven surfaces at low speed
-- e.g., when coasting (not necessarily braking) as I approach a red
light or stop sign.
Can't say that I've noticed the noise at higher speeds.
No suspension or...

Fiat and engines by
David E. Powell
I hear people saying Fiat will make Dodge engines more fuel efficient
and better. In my book they'll screw up Dodge and Chrysler cars if
they use Fiat engines.
The Hemi is one of the big marketing points Chrysler has. I am
guessing that Fiat wants Dodge tech and not the other way around.
Chrysler...

Nate Nagel
Hi guys,
At a swap meet last weekend I picked up a neat little piece, it's a
Studebaker V-8 distributor with the guts from a B/RB MoPar distributor
swapped in so that I can have a fully electronic ignition. (I was
actually trying to build one of these for another project last year but
I got to...

gary
Just drove my daughter to a friends house, 20 minute trip - no problems,
shut off the vehicle, went to leave and check engine light is on and my
tranny won't go above 2nd. I have never had any mechanical problems with
this vehicle before. I am hoping it is something simple as opposed to a
tranny...

SMEC - Plymouth Voyager by

Awhile back, I posted regarding some probelms I was having w/ my 1996
Plymouth Voyager. It was doing poorly upon initial accelaration and
when under load (very little power). It was also showing Fault Code
43. Someone suggested it may be a problem with the SMEC.
I replaced the ignition coil and...

Bob Hewitt
Our 93 Chrysler New Yorker 5th Ave. has 150K miles. Runs great except
starting first thing in the morning. Must give it the 1,2,3 then crank
and it starts. Good for the rest of the day. What is the cause for the
loss in fuel pressure in the fuel bar?? How can this problem be
solved?? Bob

Dodge Caravan 93 3.0l Engine whistles at idle by
Paul Singh
When the engine is cold it is OK but at normal temperature if I let the
engine idle it starts giving a loud whistle. If I rev it high it goes away.
The idle RPM is between 750-800. I am pretty sure it does not come from the
belts or pulleys. Any ideas what could be the problem ?
TIA
Paul

Jeep alternator by
Smitty
I took my 96 grand Cherokee in for a water pump replacement. The shop
said that I also had a bad alternator. It worked fine in our -20 temps
here in MN and the warning light has never come on. Do you think it
could be bad?
Thanks
Smitty

Pickup trucks in Europe by

As you all know, pickup trucks are not very popular in Europe, for a variety
of reasons.
You might, thus, amuse yourselves by reading this review written by a
journalist in the UK Sunday Times (the leading quality Sunday paper here)
after he bought a Ford Ranger. FYI Brian Appleyard is not...
