NC Floor Mats? by John McGaw
Seems simple enough. My 2006 came with two sets of mats -- the carpeted sort and the rubber sort. Both of them proved to be total rubbish with the rubber wearing through in the matter of a six months and the carpeted in eighteen. Typical wear pattern is a hole where my right heel sits. So now I...

Dumb Question.... by cassie
I have a 2000 Mazda Miata. I see references to MK I, MK II and MX-5. Can someone tell me what the differences are? And if they would know what I have (i.e. can you tell by the year or is there other differences). I know its a dumb question, but I thought I'd take a chance and ask.... Thanks

New top. by XS11E[_3_]
I'm less that thrilled with my new top, yesterday I found the rear window was coming unglued, the same problem that "mdginzo" posted Aug. 8th. Mine lasted from 9/6/07 to 9/10/07 or maybe not, I noticed it last night but it could have begun separating sooner than that? Robbins is sending a new...

AC question by Mac[_2_]
I have a 1990 Miata 1.6l. The compressor is failing and the new ones are too expensive so looking at a used one. The guy at Partsgroup said that I can use one all the way up to 1999 and it will still fit with no modifications or troubles. Has any one done this or knows if this will work? Just...

Westco battery fails (again) by Frank Berger
Second time in four years. I don't know why I only seem to get 3-4 years out of a Westco, when I hear people get 5-7 years. Is my result really atypical?

NB top AND frame in an NA? by ROMAD
I've been told that a complete top and frame assembly out of an NB will bolt right into an NA. Has anyone here done this? Is it true or did you have to modify the frame, car, both? Dennis B. Swaney remove .zz to reply

A little long before firing up - family trademark or is my car alittle sick? by Bruno
I find that when starting my 1999 NB 1.8 it takes about a second before the engine fires up. Or to put in different words it takes just slightly long enough for me to notice and think "Huh!". This seems to be regardless of ambient temperatures and only if the car has been out running within the...

looking for online salvage yard web site by pws
I had a website bookmarked that showed cars around the U.S. from different salvage yards. The site had pictures and a description of what was left on the car and I remember that I could search by category to see only 1990-1997 miatas. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I am having trouble finding...

27k miles on spark plugs abt right? by [email protected]
My 2000 Mazda Protege has abt 27, 000 miles on the spark plugs (copper ones I think). The car seems to be idling rough. Is 27k on a set of plugs abt right? Time to change them out? Also....what abt copper vs platinum plugs. Any real serious advantage to platinum plugs worthy of the extra cost?

I am thinking about purchasing 1990 Mazda Miata with 204k miles. I have always like the Miatas and I thought this would be a cheap way to get one. The car looks great and it is the original owner. Can anyone give me any advice?
