I installed a very nice Racing Beat 4-1 header on my '03 SE and now some one wants to buy the stock manifold. I have no idea what to ask for it; any ideas? Thanks -- ----- Clark Friedrichs /

Keep or sell cheap? by Tina Marie
I have a '97 Miata, with 93K miles on it. About 2 months ago, I started getting "random misfire" codes on the check engine light. Been there before, so I replaced the plugs and wires. 2 days later, the code came back. I took it to the local mechanic, who chewed me out for not using NGK wires,...

brake pads by Martin Jackson
50 years ago, my brother used his Pontiac GTO to test pads in NJ for a vendor. His recomendation to do one or two hard stops from top speed to outgas the volitiles has stood me in good stead. After that, the brakes work much better. It's been 5 years since new pads....Martin

Tonneau cover by frank
To Hitch on Hubub's post - I see a Rogers tonneau - black or tan, selling for $250 that requires anchors beneath the mirrors and on the upper dash. Has anyone done this and either liked it or not, or is there a better choice? Tnx. Frank

Shameless Plug - '99 OEM alloy Miata wheel for auction by pws
I have a set of '99 OEM alloys that I am auctioning off one at a time. The first one ends in 18 hours. http://tinyurl.com/ybknx9 These have a textured finish that I have not seen very often, the last time was on a set of 1999 14" alloys that I sold years ago. Does anyone know what determined...

Bizaare clutch? problem by [email protected]
OK, here goes: when i depress the clutch I get an awful grinding type noise. Coincidentally the radio stopped working and the brake light came on when the noise started. Tonight, I picked up the car from someone who could not fix the problem. Guess what: the radio works, the brake light is off...

What would you pay? by NoteHead
I recently came across a 1993 mariner blue 5 speed Miata for sale. It has a hard top that is in decent condition, but has a few problems: 1. It has been in a minor accident (a sideswipe that has left a medium size dent on the driver door) 2. It needs a paint job (it has plently of scratches) 3....

Q: How often should I change the oil? by solamour
Hello, everyone. The subject says it all. Most people around me say I need to change the oil every 3,000 miles (or every 3 months). I drive only short distance, so it takes me about 6 months to reach 3,000 miles. Do I still need to change the oil every 3 months even if I drove, say, 1,500 miles?...

where to find dual exhaust systems by Tonyrama
Ok, so I took my baby in for an inspection sticker, and they're telling me that they can't sticker it because my muffler is cracked, and that it can't be fixed. While I doubt that it can't be fixed, it would seem like a good a time as any to upgrade to a dual system. Who makes a nice system? I...

Love my fixed '97 M .... and a question. by Tim M.
Well, I have been driving my repaired 1997 M model for about three weeks now, and I have to say I love the car just as much as I did my 1992. I can't say that I'm mad about the leather seats, as thery do contribute to sweaty back, but other than that.... very happy, big grins. I'll be driving it...

The '96M is gone - sniff by pws[_1_]
I just watched the shell of the best car that I have ever owned get hauled off. Oh well, even the right quarter panel is going to be cut off and used to fix a '97 STO. We couldn't load it straight onto a trailer without tearing up the section he needs to cut out, so we flipped, lifted and slid...

Hand Brake Release Indicator Switch by Mik
Where is this switch located. My hand brake light is on all the time now. It was intermittant last year, but now it stays on. Guess it's time to replace it, but I don't know where to start. I'm guessing it's near the hand brake lever. This is a 1990 Miata.
