Eric D
Hi, I'm looking for a car for my parents.
It should be used and under $20K, mid size sedan(not hatchback), not
gutless and still under warrantee with automatic transmission.
I'm looking for the best value for the money, well made and low
maintainance.
I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Unclear on the concept by
Jack Myers
Chicks ask the dumbest questions about cars. At the LA Car
Show my sweetie asked, "What is the purpose of the concept
cars? All the production sedans look alike. I like that one
<floating in mid-air before us at an improbable angle.>
Why can't I buy it right now?" In response to a question...

My used car checklist - looking for some feedback by
techman41973
I'm putting together a comprehensive checklist when checking out a
used car.
(for myself and anyone else interested)
This is NOT a substitute for a mechanic looking over the vehicle.
Just a checklist to weed out cars with obvious issues.
I would love some feedback (suggested, refinements,...

To those who bought a certified used or pre-owned vehicle by
techman41973
I will be purchasing a used vehicle in the near future. Most likely a
Honda or Lexus.
I'm highly considering a certified used vehicle (manufacturer
certified).
Is it still a good idea to have an independent mechanic look over
the vehicle before buying?
Or can you trust the certification...

1970 Cadillac Eldorado coolant overflow by
The Derfer[_2_]
I've got a 1970 Cadillac Eldorado, about 58K miles.
When driving it, it's fine.
Sometimes after a ride I stop the car and the plastic coolant tank
(outflow hose) will overflow and spill some coolant onto the street.
This never happens WHILE the car is in motion, and I can always
start it up again...

small puncture tire repair by
james
I wonder if some tire pattern attracts more nails than others.
I have used tire patching kits before -- the kind that requires you to make
the tire puncture hole larger first with a file, and then push in a rubber
plug, then pull out the plug insertion tool. Some requires glue, and some
comes...

Recommendation?: Books On Shopping For New Cars? by
steve
Hi;
I'm in the market for a new car.
I've been reading the free, online book on how to shop for cars
called:
carbuyingtips.com
I've been learning a lot, but there is no free lunch and I am a bit
suspicious of how the site supports its staff and pays its bills. It

fuel & induction system cleaning question by
pingeek
Hi all,
I have a 2006 Dodge Caravan. At about 15,500 miles, the dealership
did a fuel injector flush.
They have since gone out of business, so I took my vehicle to a nearby
shop for an oil change, and they recommended a "3-step fuel &
induction system cleaning."
My vehicle is currently at...

WHERE is the PS pump pivot bolt on a '93 Sentra? by
DemoDisk
I thought I'd save some money buying and replacing three engine belts
myself -- AC, PS/WP, and Alternator. The job turned out to be a lot
harder than I imagined.
Day 1. (Afternoon, actually; it's really hot out there.) The outermost
belt (the A/C) gave up quickly once I figured out the idler...
