Cockeyed Steering on Saturn Ion by
DaGuy
I have a 2004 Saturn Ion which now has 5,000 miles on it. My problem,
which I noticed when I first got the car, is that the steering is
cockeyed. By that, I mean it's easier to turn the wheel to the left
than it is to the right. When a car has the correct balance it should
always try to center...

fuel guage/fuel pump by
Elaine again ^,,^
Since my mechanic replaced the fuel pump and flushed out all the
anti-freeze, the fuel gauge doesn't work, it's staying on full. Is there
a fix for that? Thanks from a woman driver driving for 45 years. I love
my Saturn.

Engine rattles when idling by
Canuck1
Have had this checked by a mechanic, he checked it out and couldn't figure
it out. So he went online to Saturn, they told him to look for some
things. He checked those, but it didn't help, it still rattles. It has
plenty of power, gas mileage around town is 29mpg, freeway 33mpg.It
dosen't burn oil...

trusted source for used tail light on Saturn SL series by
Leicaman
Some bozo backed into my '99 SL2 and cracked my right rear tailight. The
tail light assembly itself is a piece o cake to replace,
I'd like to save some bucks and I am wondering if any of you have
suggestions as to a place on the 'net where you've had good luck in getting
2nd hand parts.
Thanks...

Tire Thoughts by
Matt
Hello,
I'm about to purchase new tires for my 2000 SL1. I'm looking at
getting GoodYear Regatta 2 tires on all 4. Any thoughts/experience with
these things on Saturns?

Noisey VUE by
Scout
My 2003 VUE has at least 2 noise problems.
1. The whole car creak and moans like a 40 year old truck.
2. When the steering wheel is turned, it sounds like plastic noises but I
can't pinpoint them. I reached way down under the dashboard and found some
kind of metal part (inside the car) and it seems...

lap seatbelt warning light question by
[email protected]
I replaced a burn out bulb in the dash today for this 93 wagon
lap seatbelt warning light and it only seems to work with the
drivers lap seatbelt. Should other lap seatbelts such as the
passenger's also trigger the warning light? Or the back seat lap
seatbelts? Just curious as I had a passenger...

Deadpan
My car seems to idle rough only at idle and it is running rich. I just
bought the car and it had a bad cts. I replaced that and it ran great for
about 100 miles. Then the check engine light came on and within 20 miles
the the idle became rough. I check the codes and got "EGR insufficient

Rear wiper motor by

Has anyone replaced the rear wiper motor on a 99SW2? Mine stopped
working and I couldn"t find a blown fuse. Is it easy to take off the
plastic cover without breaking any plastic rivets? Thanks for any info.

steering wheel way crooked by
Tony
I coasted into a parkling spot yesterday with the engine off. I turned
the wheel hard and heard a noise. Now the steering wheel is off about
120 degrees. The car drives straight and turns fine. What could be the
problem? The u joints look ok. The shafts look ok, no evedence of
striping. Could it be...

Oil by
JJ
What is the opinion if one would accidentally add 1/2 qt. of Synthetic oil
to the crankcase filled with 10w30 conventional oil. Will the two mix O.K.?
Can I wait till the next oil change (2000mi) to drain and refill with
conventional oil.

Continental Touring LX? by
Dean S. Lautermilch®²ºº³
My Pirelli P400s on my 2000 SL1 have been very good performers but don't
last all that long. I lost two to dry rot and two flats.
I was in a hurry and in a bind to get the car ready and went to the same
place that sold me the Pirellis and they had Continental Touring LX for $50
so I bought two....

TRAC traction. Does it affect mileage?? by
TSMANGOD
Howdy. I've asked this of several people who own Saturns, and nobody can tell
me the advantage/disadvantage of having the Trac traction switched on versus
turning it off. I usually turn it off, because the light annoys me, but if I
were on slippery roads, I'd use it.
But does it have any effect...

Automotive News reports that Saturn is considering building a Red Line

proposals that could make it happen," Gene Stefanyshyn, the previous...
