ascus.lsil
Does any one know any collector car insurance companies that do not
require a garage?
I live in a townhouse that has a parking space but no garage.
Thanks!

Looking for a book on historical lemons by
Arklier
Not the Ralph Nader book, it's a coffee table book I saw at Barnes &
Noble several years back that I regret not picking up at the time. I
don't remember the title or the author, but I do remember that the
cover illustration was a picture of a lemon (the kind used to make
lemonade) with a steering...

Bizarre messages on this newsgroup by
Otto Skorzeny[_2_]
Why does this newsgroup keep getting all these weird, off the wall
posts? The latest ones look like somebody used a program to post
messages under other user's names. What's up with this? Other google
groups I watch never get this kind of crap. MI5 persecution? WTF???
Any suggestions or ideas to...

Pronouncciation by
Stude
ja'ou'are
That's how the natives pronounced the name of a sleek spotted cat
native to their Amazon region.
William Lyons, of Coventry, named a car after that cat.
Judging by the phonetic spelling, above, that the explorers brought
back (along with some cats), the Brits have it right as far as...

Beginner question- 1952 Packard Clipper by
KOS
Hello,
I recently got hold of a Packard Clipper. I am not a mechanic but
enjoy classic cars.
The car has been sitting for about 15 years. Engine is not ceased, and
body looks good.
My question for the group: I have zero background fixing cars/ none.
Would I be better off hiring a mechanic to fix...

Cars w/ classiest or unusual interiors? by
Google User
I was wondering if I could opinions from you fine people about which
classic cars had (have) the nicest interiors or most unusual
interiors. I know this is a bit subjective...
I saw a 63 buick riviera with a chrome and brushed aluminum(?) dash
and nice leather seats that I thought was just...

Help identifying vintage hubcap wheelcover by
Paul T
Hi,
I bought an interesting hubcap/wheelcover at the local flea market,
but am having problems identifying the vehicle to which it belongs.
It's a 15" model, with a Knight's crest on a coat of arms. Someone
said it might be a Desoto, but I haven't found a similar Desoto hubcap
to confirm. It might...

How do I identify which ignition coil terminal is positive and which

I'm installing new wiring in a Model A Ford and the instructions

'76 MG Midget and '78 Spitfire 1500 engine swap? by
Rick
The basic question is, can I swap a 1976 MG Midget engine into a 1978
Triumph Spitfire? To make matters worse I'm in California with all the
smog requirements, fortunately both cars are already California cars
from the factory.
The longer story is a did a very clean rebuild of the MG engine...

Part for '70 International Pick-Up by
Tony Cooper
I have a 1970 International Tow-All 1200 series pick up truck in the
driveway. There's a problem with the clutch, but I can't locate any
source for parts or a parts list for the beast.
If it was an International Scout, I could find a number of sources.
But, it's not.
Any suggestions? Links?

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here, so please forgive me

valvetrain problem? by
Gerard
today i adjusted all of my valves... last time since i did it was
about 5000 miles ago.
i found that 13/16 of the rockers were pretty loose - in the sense that
the pushrods were easily turnable in their place.
i don't think this is normal for the preload to come undone after only
5k miles, is it?...

Insurance: Classic vs. regular vs. ???? by
dodgeboy
I think all insurance companies will allow a special appraised value on
any car. Must have photos and proper accredited appraisal and your rates
are adjusted accordingly just like you had a 30,000 new vehicle.
It will take some prompting at your average agents.
