fireball661957
I have a honda accord 2004 and when the air conditioner is on the lights
dim for a brief sec.about every 12 to 15 sec.when the fan starts up it
even does this when the motor is cold . I have taken this to the dealer
and they say it is a normal thing for this car. Does anyone else have this
problem?

battery washers - how long do they last (prevent corrosion) by
[email protected]
I have been getting alot of blue-green corrosion around my battery
terminals. It still happened after I replaced my battery. It seems that
this is caused by the tin wearing off on my battery terminals exposing
the copper. While I will consider replacing my terminals at some point,
I currently have...

Need recommendation for online source for Honda parts? by
[email protected]
There seems to be many companies and dealers that sell Honda parts
online, but I am looking for one that sells more than just the standard
stuff. For example, I need a replacement part for my 97 accord that is
a module consisting of a plastic framed piece with the integrated door
handle and power...

Rear trailing arm - parking brake cable question by
TeGGer®
If I was to remove the rear trailing arm on the 1991 Integra, would I need
to disconnect the parking brake cable at the equalizer in order to remove
it from the control arm?
Or will that big rubber donut somehow pass through its hole in the trailing
arm once it's oriented just the right way?
(I'm...

Greasing ball-joints by
George Macdonald
Hi all - haven't been here in a while and I really don't have time to post
regularly again but I thought it'd be worth posting this one... which I'd
been trying to figure for a while.
My '92 Integra (soon to be sold/traded or whatever) developed a creak in a
ball joint - only when weather was...

Trailing Arm Bushings-Where to get them? by
WaterWatcher
Hi. I have a '90 Civic and the trailing arm bushings are toast. Local
dealer wants $60 plus change plus tax each. Anyone know of a less expensive
source for these?
Thanks,
WW

Alternator Advice - '91 Civic Si by
Chopface
Hello,
I was on a trip back to my home on a 2-lane highway tonight, and I was
about 50 miles out when my charging system warning light came on my
dash. I made it home with no incident. I had to have my headlights on
because it was dark. I cut all my other accessories when the light came
on and for...

Quiet tires=soft tires? by
Frank
Hi there
I had a debate with a co-worker about tires today. I have 4
Michelin Pilot MXM4 (All-Season P205/55 R16 89V) and I find them
loud. My co-worker told me that the road noise is mostly from
these tires and that low-rolling-resistance tires are hard, so
they're loud.
Is this true? First are...

which minivan to buy? by
snow
My 1992 Dodge Caravan is getting old (it runs well, been lucky..at 150,000)
and I am planning to buy a minivan this summer. It won't be a new one. It
will be most likely 2 to 4 years old depending on the model. I noticed that
Ford minivans are the cheapest,
followed by Dodge. The Toyota Siennas and...

97 Honda Accord seatbelt retraction problem by
[email protected]
I have a 1997 Honda Accord with about 140K miles.
The seat belt on the drivers side doesnt retract well anymore.
Often the belt gets caught in the door when I leave the car.
Perhaps this is normal wear and tear on the seat belt mechanism after
so many miles. Just wondering if anyone has a similar...

Weak Battery Causing Starter problem by
Remco
Sure -- there might be enough power to turn over the engine, but
perhaps other components (like ignition) are starving. On a cold day
you could have starting problems.
A bad starter is usually either turning normally, not turning (open
connection somewhere), turning way too quickly (relay not...

2000 Accord stalls while driving by

Hi,
I'm the original owner of a 2000 Honda Accord EX, 4 cylinder, manual
transmission, 99K miles, no accidents.
My car has stalled while driving it about 10 times over the 5 years I've
owned it. It usually happens at speeds < 40mph, and when it occurs, all of
my dashboard lights come on and I...

A car with a European feel by
Amanda Robin
Hi all,
I am finally in a place in my life where I can buy a car I really like.
The only cars that I've ever driven that are kinesthetically pleasing to
me are European--BMWs, Mercedes, even a Volvo wagon and a Peugeot. I
just much prefer the suspension, the feel of the steering, etc. I've
never...

Civic Seatbelt Question by
Paul Ciszek
I have heard other people talk of this, so I hope some one out there
knows the answer.
The passenger seat belt in my 2000 Honda Civic DX is unlike the driver
side seat belt. The driver side belt will extend and retract as the
driver moves about, and only locks up if you try to extend it...
