hrd2kch

I bought the truck a couple of years ago with about 16,000 miles on it.
Anyway, I recently noticed that the 3rd brake light wasn't working.
I checked the fuse and found out that there wasn't a fuse in the spot
for the brake...

Need buffing info by
Alan E. Seelbach
I scratched up my 2005 Explorer riding thru the woods. These are MINOR
scratches that can be seen only if the light is right, but of course I can
see them in my dreams.
I know nothing about buffing. So I tried toothpaste...no significant
change. Then I graduated to Comet cleanser...and had some...

Air Filter Intake by
midas
Vehicle is a '98 V6 SOHC. Want to covert the stock air box to a universal
air filter(K&N). The mass air flow sensor has a 3 inch opening. Have seen
samples online and they used a 3 inch filter attatched to the sensor. Is
there such a way; Can this be done? Or have to use an actual aftermarket
air...

Had a door fire today. Came from my mirror control switch in the front

jumped. Luckily have only a burned out front door. Read that there was a
recall from Ford about this condition on this model. Does anybody know if
I can hold...

Disable factory alarm? 97 by
Joe
Is there a way to disable the factory alarm? Problem is, if my
aftermarket alarm is activated with any door open it will also arm the
factory alarm. Thus, when I disable the aftermarket alarm the factory
will still be active and it will blare the horn when I open a door. I
attempted to put it in...

94 muffler FIY by
Henry Kolesnik
A few weeks ago I asked if the muffler on a 94 Explorer was welded on and it
is. After getting a quote from Midas of $130.00 I found B&S who replaced
the muffler for $47.50 plus tax and did it in 1/2 hour. All US cars are
$47.50 and imports are $60.00

'93 Buick Riviera AC Problem by

I've had my Riv in the shop off and on for the past two months with an AC
problem. The climate control goes over to "economy" mode instead of
"auto". We replaced the low pressure switch, and it ran for a week then
cut out again. When the mechanic clears the codes on the computer it will

'97 Explorer--Backfire??? by
pastorjeffhughes
My wife's 1997 Explorer has what seems to be a backfire occaisionally.
When you accelerate moderately, it bucks some and it sounds almost like a
"cough" somewhere near the catalytic converter. It seems as though the
sparkplug may be firing late, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?
In Christ,
Jeff
