Civic steering & tie rods by
Dail Singleton
I bought my '92 Civic at 130,000 and it now has 163,000 mi. I have been
driving all this time with broken boots on the tie rods where they plug
into the steering gearbox. I don't think the steering feels quite
right. I now have the cash and want to get this fixed. Neither shop
that I usually go...

Honda Pilot's VTM-4 4WD System on Ice by
SMS
On Sunday, my sister-in-law was driving her 4WD Pilot up an icy road in
Yosemite. The vehicle skidded on ice, did a 360 degree, and she ended up
stuck slightly off the side of the road, but with no damage. Three
wheels had no traction, and the 4WD system dutifully delivered all the
power to the...

97Honda Civic problems (transmission??) by
[email protected]
My car (Honda Civic 97 EX) has a mileage of 92000 miles.
Yesterday, while I was driving, it suddenly jerked and would not move
forward(as if it was in neutral), but it goes fine in reverse. The
local auto mechanic says it is a transmission failure and he will
charge $2500 for the replacement. He...

One more question on transmission fluid by
maumee
I read the recent post on using the Honda specific transmission fluid.
I have a 1995 Accord EX with automatic and the owners manual states
to use Dextron II or the Honda fluid. Should I still put out the big
bucks and get the Honda stuff or what? I would like someone more
knowledgeable than me to...

the_lower_class_brat
I recently bought a 1991 Honda Accord LX for 500 hundred (first car).

minutes. It goes from 1500 rpm to as low as 100-300 and almost stalls.
This only happends when I use any powered device in the car, such as
brakes, air, lights,...

Silverstar bulbs on an '04 Civic VP by
Carl - News
Greetings all
Looking at the Syl;vania Silverstar bulbs. I've determined the correct
model I'd need, yet I'm seeing everywhere that people are having to remove
bumbers to install new bulbs.
On an '04 Civic Value Package trim line (the one with roll-down windows and
manually operated mirrors),...

Battery Drain #9 fuse 2005 Honda CRV by
sc1965
I bought a brand new 2005 Honda CRV SE last year and am having a few
problems. After a few months, the dome light in the back turns on and
shows up on the dash like the door is open when it's not open or even
unlocked. I couldn't get the dome light to shut off no matter how hard
I shut the door. ...

94 Accord ignition switch by
Frank Boettcher
94 accord (MT) is intermittantly not engaging the starter when the
key is turned to the start position. Pushing in on the key a little
will cause it to make contact. Is OK when returning to the on
position after starting, engine continues to run.
Can I assume that it is the lock cylinder and if...

1999 Integra Type R stalling by
davea
Hi all
Just had my 1999 Integra Type R (UK) serviced and timing belt changed.
When I start the car from cold the engine struggles and coughs to get
above 1000rpm unless I keep my foot on the accelarator. Once it heats
up to running temp its fine. It has stalled a couple of times, when I
haven't...

Honda 4cylinder vs 6cylinder by
Jeff Johnson
I have a civic I was considering trading in. During service at the
Honda dealer today I ask the tech about the v6. He told he would stay
away from the v6,,they are always coming in for service with
transmission problems. He said the v6 overpowers the transmission. So
are the Honda 4cylinder really...

97 accord front brake replacement by
w
Hi everyone,
I have a 97 accord and front brakes need to be replaced. A mechanic gave me
a quote of $280 saying that the rotors were on the inside of the car and it
required a special lathe machine. I was wondering what do you guys think?
Thanks,
Wajahat

Aftermarket A/C control unit? by
Paradox34690[_1_]
Hey everyone, this is my first post on here, and I have to say that I'm
happy to have finally found a decent forum for automotive ideas.
I am the 3rd proud owner of a 1991 Honda CRX DX (with only 150k
original miles). It's seen it's better days though; besides having to
do the bare maintenance and...
