iRacing rip off by
Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
(Boofhead) wrote:

I agree, but I think it's probably unfair to criticise iRacing for this business
decision. After all, what kind of message does it give out if they automatically
assume you won't renew?
Having said that, I think it would do no...

Banned by RSC, no reason given by
abbakus
I was away on vacation, got back two days ago and find
that RSC has banned my acccount. I didn't violate any
rules. I emailed "webmaster", but no reply.

Racing Legends - PPU compatibility? by
eppy
Hi,
Unfortunatly, there isn't too much discussion in other forums about the
progress in Racing Legends. Does anyone know if the developers have taken
advantage of the delay in their work by utilising new technologies such as
hardware Physics Processing Units? This would surely aid their goal of...

NR2003 Loose web setups by
Charles F. Castor Jr.
Why is it that the setups I get on the web are always so loose? I have
to add a lot of front bias to get around the track.
Thanks

vvx
Which modern driving sims have the most realistic physics overall? i.e. not
just designed for fun, but sticks to the real world as much as possible?

iRacing Watkins Glen and the Radical by
Larry[_1_]
I'm not a huge fan of RC racing (I'm more of an oval hound), but I gotta
tell you...
The quality of the iRacing Watkins Glen track is surpassed by nothing,
possibly even the real thing :)
And racing the Radical at the iRacing WG track is heaven, even for this
non-RC guy.
I can live with the...

New Logi Wheel G25 by

Looks to fill the niche that was just talked about here on RAS. Looks
interesting and Im looking forward to some reviews.
----------
For racing at home, Logitech at E3 introduces the G25 Racing Wheel. The
system includes a six-speed shifter and clutch pedal, two force-feedback
motors, an 11-inch...

GN1970 physics... by
Jan Kohl
I see I've been missing out on some fun here! Drat! I always like a
good argument (mostly 'cause I always win...) ;)
Several esteemed members of this group seem to have a disagreement on
the realism of our Grand National 1970 mod physics. Well, I'll be glad
to enlighten everyone.
The crux of...

RSC, why was Legends Central delted? by
Jeff Reid
Under: "Why don't other sites care about the things we do?"
Maybe they didn't have their site deleted once due to a mistake by a site member? That happened to RSC (then Legends
Central) in 2001. We also have a good relationship with some publishers and developers simply because of the rules...

Opinion on iRacing short falls. by
Niles Anders[_1_]
I was listening to the interview with Eric Alexander at Opinion Nation,
especially about leagues at iRacing. Eric says, and I'm paraphrasing,
that iRacing fears that if they allow private leagues then guys will go
"hide" in those leagues and undermine what iRacing is about.
Think about that. If...

XP, SBLive, TSW by
EldredP
Well, I built a new computer(thanks to a generous fellow sim racer). Since the
mobo doesn't have any ISA slots, I can't use my PDPL gamecard. The USB wheel I
have doesn't have split-axis, so that makes it difficult to drive. I tried
using my SBLive's gameport to run my TSW wheel. Couldn't...

State of Sim-Racing.....Rant by
Ed White
Hey all, I've just spent what should have been some quality simracing time,
instead searching the web looking for tracks for rFactor.....I have less
time these days to simrace, but do still enjoy it a lot, when I can get it
to happen. I've been playing rFactor since the demo, and think it's...

So funny... by
Larry \(The Other Larry\)
I just read this in an article summarizing sims for the year.
So funny, but potentially true :)
"rFactor also came along, proving that a real physics engine for fake cars
can be just as immersive. It threatens to become the SFP1 of the racing
simulation genre, boasting open architecture and full...

Converted GTR racks in rFactor by
Joao Gonzalez
Alex in Menu dei Motori has posted a few tracks converted from GTR to
rFactor. This is a banned topic in RSC so you will not see a lot of
publicity around it. Seems Simbin has specifically forbidden its GTR
tracks to be converted to rFactor.
The tracks availabe are Brno, Estoril, Enna, Anderstorp,...

iRacing - Hardware by
Dirt
So, I just found out about iRacing and it has me thinking about coming
back to sim racing after quite a while. What sort of hardware can you
really get away with? Are the minimums listed at iRacing.com
realistic, or is that really scraping the bottom of the barrel?

USPits gone forever... by
Darus
Quoted from their website forum:
"After 9 years, 1 month, and 11 days, we had finally had enough.
Sometimes you just have to say "that's it!" We did. We decided we were
going to put up with it no more. The file areas, the archives, the
tools, the forums...gone. And 90% of it will not return. Ever....
