98' Accord, Rear camber not adjustable? by
Al
Hi group,
The alignment guy says my rear camber is out of tolerance, and needs to
be adjusted. However, he adds, there is no adjustment on the standard Accord
EX. He has some parts(struts?) for about $300(installed & aligned) that will
fix this.
A. Does this make sense?
B. Are his prices in...

Transmission service on 2000 Accord by
bob
2000 Accord, EX, V6, 49,000miles........
To service the automatic transmission (drain and refill fluid and
filter(?) ), is it best to drop the transmission pan, or just remove
drain plugs?
Is there a filter that should be changed that can be accessed by
dropping the pan?

Civic Transmission shot at 44K: Good Ending!!! by
[email protected]
Thank you all for your advice. I have some VERY GOOD NEWS to share
Honda has agreed to replace my transmission free of charge!
I called "Honda of America" like Duckbill suggested (thank you
Duckbill!), I got through to a real person on the first ring (very
impressive). This gentelman was great,...

98 Civic - Possible electrical problem? by
[email protected]
I've had an intriguing issue with my 98 Civic, and thought I might
describe it here, and see if anyone has some insight as to what could
be going on with the car.
Short story: poor fuel economy, alternator test suggests bad
alternator (175 amps?!?!), occasional dimming of lights, otherwise...

'06 Civic - Stupid Digital Speedometer by
[email protected]
I really wanted to like the new '06 Civic but the steering wheel and
general interior are something from a Star Wars film and the plastics
seem more at home on a Fisher-Price toy. And what's with the digital
speedo? Doesn't Honda learn from the mistakes of others? The digital
speedo was foisted on...

97 Honda Accord seatbelt retraction problem by
[email protected]
I have a 1997 Honda Accord with about 140K miles.
The seat belt on the drivers side doesnt retract well anymore.
Often the belt gets caught in the door when I leave the car.
Perhaps this is normal wear and tear on the seat belt mechanism after
so many miles. Just wondering if anyone has a similar...

nick[_3_]
Hey gang,
97 accord lx 4-cyl. Replacing the plugs at about
50k, noticed the plugs are oily. Izzat likely to be
valve seals or something unique to Hondas??

Parasitic Drain - Bulb Trick by
sharx333
Just wanted to ask:
Is the "light bulb" test (putting a 12v bulb in series with the battery
circuit) an accurate test for a parasitic drain? My ammeter only goes
up to 0.25A, and I don't want to risk overloading the meter.
How bright should the bulb light up, if it should at all, for a
"normal"...

Looking at Some Used Hondas by
Elle
As the regulars here know, I have got a kick out of working
on my 1991 Civic over the years. But (1) it has rust around
the gills and I want to look sportier (I surrender to
vanity); (2) I think for the next several years I will
always fear that it has a major engine breakdown yada and I
will...

still 91 Civic distributor problems? by
Ropert's Aloha
Well I have now replaced my main relay with a new one from Napa(I had
previously re-soldered all the points) and I replaced the ignition switch
with OEM Honda part. But I still have a problem.
I can be driving and the thing just cuts out like the power was turned off
to it. Two years ago it died...

Drum Brake "Wunka-Wunka" by
Elle Navorski
My 91 Civic's right rear drum brake makes a "wunka-wunka" noise every now
and then when I press the brake pedal while driving and coming to a stop.
This began two days ago, after a heavy snowstorm (8 inches or more, so
around brake drum height), parking lot (at the top of a mountain) not
plowed,...

Temperature gauge pegging when I stop... by
Dan Birchall
1993 Accord LX 4-door sedan. I already know about the main relay. :)
When I stop and turn off the car, especially if I've been driving hard
or a long uphill trip, the cooling fan comes on. (Normal, I think.)
Today, I was running errands, made a few stops close together, then got
stuck in...

Hi, have a baby due in November and considering an Element. I'm a little
concerned about the rear-seat access, though. Anyone carry an infant in
this vehicle and what are your impressions? Thanks in advance.
