Comments on '97 through '02 SL1 & SL2? by
Bob Shuman
My 19+ year old son has driven a '96 SL1 for the last 3 years. It had 112K
miles on it when he got it and we did all preventive maintenance at that
time. It now has 140K miles and has been good to him. It was a good car to
travel to/from college since it had adequate space, got very good...

radiator leak by
Mephistopheles Jones
I've got a 93 SL2 with a radiator leak. The ends of the radiator are
made of hard rubber, and there is a pinhole leak on one end. Anyone
know if the ends can be replaced, or do I need to get a whole new
radiator? I just epoxied the thing up so I can get around a little.

97 SC2 - A/C not working by
Matthew Fries
It was a nice warm day today, so I thought I would turn on the A/C in
my 97 SC2. The A/C light on the control panel came on (and so did the
recirc light), I turned the fan on, but all that I got was hot air. It
wasn't even a little bit cooler.
A couple of years ago, I had the A/C recharged, and it...

Resealing the Oil Pan by
Box134
1996 SL2, 114,000 km.
For quite a few years Saturn service has been telling me my oil pan is
leaking. Since I didn't see any drips on the floor and the oil level wasn't
significantly affected, I've let it ride.
But now I'm seeing some small drips so I'm thinking to have it done. Only
thing is...

Rear window defogger by
[email protected]
Buyer beware........is not a joke. Just discovered while having tint
put on my recently acquired 02,Sc2 that it had apparently had tint on
it before, and that whoever had removed it had damaged the rear window
defogger. Anyone have any ideas or experience on repair/replacement
and costs? Thanks

black sealant used on Saturn's by
DannyB20
Hello, I have been struggling with a trunk leak for weeks now. I
finally found out what the problem was. The black sealant they used to
seal the different panels under the outer plastic fenders has gone bad.
This is a 97 SC2. At first I thought it was the rear window
seal.....but after re-sealing...

1993 Saturn Fuel Filter Question OHC (SOHC)? by
[email protected]
Here's the short question. I'll follow it with the long question.
I am looking to replace the fuel filter on my 1993 Saturn. I was
looking on ebay and most are for DOHC engines. Question. Will the OHC
engine accept a fuel pump that states it is for the DOHC?
LONG QUESTION: :)
I have been...

On my 2002 L300 - V6 Saturn the Service Engine Light is on. The code
reader gives a code of PO174 - Fuel Trim System Lean - Bank 2. Does
anyone know exactly what this means and what to do about it.

catalytic converter by
[email protected]
Just traded my 97 SC2 for an 02 SC2......and am wondering if it may be
exhibiting catalytic problems. There is a slight "rattle" when
ignition is turned off. It also does a lot of popping like something
is really hot.......even after only a few miles. Mechanic says
everything looks ok. The...

My wife had and accident which involved the front right fender, The Bumper

Replacing rear window ('95 SL) by
Jules
We've just discovered that some dirtbag broke the rear window in our '95
SL overnight...
How easy is it to replace? Are specialist tools needed?
The car was parked up while we decided whether to get rid of it or not, so
this job can't be done under insurance (if the cops catch who did it
I guess...

97 SC2 leak in trunk. by
DannyB20
Hello, The water is coming in from somewhere on the passenger side of
the trunk in that side well. It only gets wet when driving in the rain.
Am assuming it is getting in from the water being thrown off of the
rear wheel. That being said seems to me the seal on the outside has
failed. So the water...
