Tire Question by Robert11[_3_]
Hello, New Buick came with Goodyear "Integrity" tires. Have never heard of them. Anybody have any thoughts as to how "decent" they are ? Good for winter on snow and ice (live in New England) ? Are they just put on new cars, or also sold to public ?

Why is there more than one multi-viscosity oil? by muzician21
Is it correct that multi-viscosity oil is to compensate for varying starting temperatures, that the oil is formulated to change as the engine temp increases? I.e. 5W-30 and 20W-30 end up at the same viscosity at operating temp? Assuming this is correct, why isn't all motor oil simply...

Car door locks by Richard Fangnail
In 1991 my friend locked his keys in his car. He called somebody who came and inserted a thin piece of metal between the gasket and the window, and popped up the lock. Are newer cars built the same way, so you could pop the lock like that? Isn't it awfully easy for a thief to open a lock this...

Computing Average Miles Per Gallon: How ? by Robert11[_3_]
Hello, New Buick LaCrosse has an Average Miles Per Gallon number that they somehow comput and display on the dash. Just curious how they do it. From my engineering days, I know how hard, and expensive, it is to compute mass or volume flow of a liquid decently.
