Eliminating PT Cruiser "smell" by [email protected]
I have an original '01 PT LTD. Unfortunately I had to leave it stored outdoors for over 4 months. Now that its back in service I noticed that some critters may have set up house under the hood. I blew out all the nuts, leaves, etc that I could see, but when driving there is an acrid smell...

Help ID unknown new car with huge chrome "X" grill by Danny
A few days ago I got a fleeting glimpse of what looked to be a brand new car with the largest chrome grill I have seen on a vehicle since the old Rolls Royces. The grill had to be at least two feet tall and had vertical chrome with a huge X(each leg of the X was about 3 inches across) placed on...

Restored 1920 Dorris K-4 My Husband found it in a barn in Montana. After 4 years and lots of work, his labor of love is 100% restored! The RV of my Husbands dreams reaches a top speed of 15 miles per hour, lacks front brakes, uses oil lamps for headlights and features a dashboard intended to...

'99 T&C Limited head Light replacement - Adjustment by Piperson
After struggling too long with badly deteriorating headlight visibility, I forked over 4 bills and replaced them. About an hour to install them and I now have essentially new light power. So what is the proper way to adjust them? Because of the vehicle model, these are the Quad style lights. I...

A/C hisses, spurts steam by Jeff Dege
Early last fall, I was driving along - or rather, sitting still on the highway waiting for traffic to move, on a hot, humid day with the air conditioner running, when I suddenly heard this sputtering hiss and a puff of white smoke or steam coming from under the hood. I looked at my gauges, and the...

2000 Condorde - Body (chassis) mounts by jaygreg
I searched for info here but found only one person asking if these things were involved in a call back. Should have been from what a local mechanic told me. I noticed the passenger side (rubber?) mount is about half gone. The car is in good shape other other than that but I would suspect the cost...

Ideas why 01 PT Cruiser overheats? by bobmct
I have an original 2001 PT Cruiser with 92K miles. For the past few years (yes, years) I occasionally see the temp go high enough to sound the alarm. The system has been flushed, pressure checked, radiator cap replaced. When this occurs reving the engine up to about 2K brings it back down to...

Sebring driving noise by Spam Hater
My wife's 2001 V6 Sebring Sedan has developed a loud driving noise. It doesn't appear to be the tires and is sometimes almost like a growl, which becomes loud after 50kph (30mph). It started about a month back. Any ideas what it is? I suspect a bearing in a wheel or the drive train. TIA.

2005 SWB minivan seats by Jeff Wieland
On a short wheel base Caravan or T&C, is it possible to remove the center seat(s), and move the rear bench seat up to the middle? We did this with our '95 Voyager SE soon after we bought it. The salesman here says that we can do this with the new ones as well, but he doesn't have a SWB to...

I've been looking at thsi '65 Plymouth Fury III convertible for a while, it looks like it's in pretty good shape, but I haven't gotten inspected yet. I'm wondering what kind of things I should be paying special attention to when looking the car over. Do they rust in a certain areas? Are there...
