'93 F-150, 300 I-6, I have removed the two bolts that appear to retain the alternator, how do I actually remove it? I can't really see (it's one of those things where I guess once you see it apart you know what you have to do) but it appears that there might be a long sleeve through the bottom...

1993 dodge shadow hesitation on accelerating by [email protected]
I have a 1993 Dodge Shadow with a 2.2L engine and auto trans. Car has less than 60K on it. Has developed a bad hesitation on accelerating, almost like a stuck EGR valve. I replaced the spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, fuel and air filters. Still not better. Will die on acceleration but restarts...

What causes the 'chuffing' noise older Subarus make? by Hachiroku $B%O%A%m%/(B
I have an '89 1.8L Like all old Suby's it makes that 'chuffing' noise that sounds like a very large eggbeater. What causes this? I realize this has to do with the boxer design, but there must be a reason why it becomes more pronounced with age.

My 99 Chevy Blazer started today to lose coolant. I took the car to the Chevy dealer and they said that will cost me $550 to change the water pump and another $500 to change the intake (that is leaking too). My question, how hard is to change the water pump? Is this something I can do at home...

Hello, I bought a car from a private party then I looked it up at Carfax. It has a clean title but at the bottom of the report it said sold at auction listed as salvage. No red flags just that statement. I live in Arizona and that is where I bought it. It came from New Mexico. I called New Mexico...

1989 Mazda 626, unable to remove rear drums by Hachiroku $B%O%A%m%/(B
(This is a continuation of an earlier post. The repair manual (Haynes) and on-line at Autozone says "On 323, 626 and MX-6, remove the backing plate plug to increase the shoe clearance. If this does not make it easy to remove the drum, loosen the parking brake lever adjustment nut or the operating...
