Problem with Locking system-Saturn Relay by
carlkeehn[_2_]
The automatic locking system seems to have stopped working on my 2005 Saturn
Relay 3. It doesn't lock using the keyfob nor does it automatically lock
when put in drive. The unlock button will unlock the car, however when I
push the lock button the first time the lights only flash, the car...

If Saturn goes, I will NEVER buy another GM car by
Usenet User
I expect GM to survive in one form or another. But if GM drops or stops
the Saturn brand, I am done with GM cars and so is the rest of the
family. We have been loyal Saturn car owners and have found them
superior and different than other GM cars. We have owned six Saturn
vehicles over the years...

94 SL2 inst cluster issues by
tm
Thanks in advance for reading this over. My 94 SL2 5spd has been
mechanically and electrically problem-free since I've owned it, except
the old-school electro-mechanical odometer recently started clicking
and grinding. So I fixed that, didn't have time yet to put all the
dash trim back together,...

Gong Crazy by

The warning bell on my 96 Saturn blasts away in spite of the
headlights not being on. Anybody out there to tell me where to get to
that bell so I can disconnect it?
Thanks.
I have enjoyed my little double-cammed 4-banger. I have replaced
starter, alternator, and water pump by jacking her up and...

1999 SW2: Problem with door locks making noise and not locking by
SW2 1999
The noise is coming from the passenger door and is not operation the door
lock/unlock latches on the door next to the door handle inside. It sounds
like if it were a worm drive setup that the drive is skipping up and over
the gear and grabbing it. At any rate, however it is setup, it is not...

96 Saturn -- How Do You Disable Runaway Chime? by
jl
It blasts my ears. I know where the damn thing is -- it's behind the
front cover on the driver's side console. But I understand that if it
is removed, some necessary functions will be lost. All I want rid of
is the constant noise, which is to warn that the headlights are on
when the key has been...

Just got two letters (GM and my Saturn Dealer) by
Slightly Graying Wolf
Last week (actually on the same day) I received a letter from GM Canada and
one from my Saturn Dealer. GM wanted to assure me they will be backing my 5
year warrantee and the 3 year bumper to bumper, but that I could continue to
have my car serviced at the Saturn dealer until the end of the...

Going Japanese by
Usenet User
Well the decision to shut down Saturn is very disappointing. Only GM
cars I ever liked. I'm done. Going Japanese. Used to be pro-American,
but GM is no longer pro-me-the-consumer. Our vehicles will be worthless
on re-sale and trade-in as a result of this decision. I'm done with GM.
Buying...

SATURN IS NO MORE! Penske walks away from GM deal! by
JLA
Saturn fans will be saddened to hear that the brand is about to be

I only use "real" IBM machines, ones built before the Lenovo takeover.
My oldest IBM is a PS/2, 9556, and two refurbished desktops, a 6579
PIII, and an 8303 P4.

Rotating tires? by
JimR[_2_]
My '97 SL2 owners' manual says to rotate the tires in the classic X
patters (LF to RR, etc.). However, I have heard for years that radial
tires should not be rotated to the opposite side of the vehicle (reverse
rotation).
Which is correct?
Thanks

RIP by
[email protected]
I just heard the news... it got me to thinking, my very first internet
search was for "Saturn" (My second search: Saturn -planet). I had a
photo of my '94 SC1 on the "Saturn Server", subscribed to the
listserv, followed the newsgroup, laughed at the "Ellen" spoof.
Farewell, Saturn.

Was the proposed sale to Penske just a charade to boost sales of
Saturns during the clunker program ??
Sure seemed like a Costanza operation to me.
