misleading in Hummer article by
GO Mavs
The vehicle doesnt last 100 thousand miles. It last longer. The battery
life
may last to 100 thousand miles, but if you were to change it by cost, then
you still have a better cost vehicle...
The 2007 Prius is around 23 thousand msrp...
The 2007 Hummer H2 is around 55 thousand msrp
The H2...

New Clutch For Super Charged/boat pulling 4-Runner Recommendation by
r
I've got a 98 4-Runner 4WD, 3.4L TRD Supercharged motor, which I do some
offroading with, but more importantly I pull a 3700 lb boat/trailer. I'm
needing to replace the clutch and looking for recommendations as the stock
clutch just
doesn't do it with what I'm using it for. I'm interested in an...

connecting rod nuts by
David A.
I am rebuilding a 350 Chevy small block engine. Having seen what happens
when a connecting rod is "thrown" I am wondering if it might be beneficial
to use Loctight thread locker. Anyone ever use thread locker with
disastrous results? Recommendations for or against using thread locker on

2005 Escape high-pitched noise problem? by
Mike Smith
Hi,
My 2005 Escape XLT/4WD makes a high-pitched annoying noise when driving
between 65-70mph. The noise seems to be coming from the engine area or
under the truck. The dealer said this may be normal, but isn't sure.
The dealer replaced rear axle components to try to get rid of the noise
or fix...

External or internal Roll Cage??? by
Zenteren
Recently I'v finished my coil suspension on my Suzuki Samurai. Now it's got
everything on (low gears, lockers, big tires, coil suspension). But one
thing left to me to finish, that would be rollcage.
I cannot decide which one is better for offroading? External or internal
full cage?

hookup for inverter by
Walker
I'd like to hardwire a 900 watt power inverter into my truck. It's been a
long time since I played with auto wiring or relays and there have probably
been several advances and/or new devices since the 80s. Would someone please
point me in the right direction to where I might get updated. Thank...

SJ413 stalls when I break by
Nigel Kerr
Hey anyone got an idea why a Suzuki SJ 413 would stall when breaking?
I cant see any splits in the vacuum pipes to the servo unit.
It has the Webber carb fitted and restarts ok after stall.
Nigel.

Front diff, locker or limited slip? by
[email protected]
It depends what vehicle and what purpose...
A front locker makes steering pretty hard and can more or less be only
used when needed on rock climbs and mud ..
A slip is more driveable but will only give you some traction to the
other wheel ..
If going for the locker make sure your axles will hold...

I was looking for a cheaper rate on my insurance of 3 cars when I
