US Car Sales by
Mike
I've been to a local Saturn dealer three times looking a the SKY and
threatening to buy one. At no time did any of the three different saleman
know anything technical about the car except for basics such as horsepower
nor could they explain how the Sky is different from the Pontiac roadster or...

Thoughts on this? by
WendyC88
What do you all think of this? Anything to look out for in particular for
this model? Price? I am on the hunt for a used Saturn for a 17yo.

95 sc2 Front end noise at low speeds by
pachita
My SC2makes a roar of sorts from 10-25mph...and mostly when I am slowing
down,,even does it with the foot off the brake..I am hoping that it is my
tires,, which are firestone, with a fairly aggressive all weather
tread..it is noisy at higher speeds but that definetly sounds like tire
tread,,just...

Unusual fix for Service Engine Soon Light by
David T. Johnson
My '92 Saturn SL2 had the 'Service Engine Soon' light come on. Doing
the jumper on the OBD connecter gave blinks for only trouble code 26
'Quad Driver Output Fault.' Looking in the docs for code 26 showed that
the most common causes for it are
1. egr vacuum solenoid open or shorted
2. fuel vapor...

96 SL2 Maintenance Question by
Fantine
I have a low mileage 96 Saturn SL2 (23,000 miles). The belt(s) and hoses
have never been replaced. I recently read a "Click and Clack" column about
low mileage cars and they suggested that belts and hoses are some of the
items on low mileage that need to be replaced due to possible ozone...

2004 ION2 after 700km by
AN0NYM0US
My friend just got a brand new 2004 ION2 appx 2 weeks ago. And already
noticed the following problems.
1) A screw on the passanger side door panel seems to be missing (near the
speaker) and you can hear buzzing noise when list to audio (esp w/ heavy
bass) or ob bumpy road
2) The MP3 player option...

Recommended a Saturn by
Oppie
A lady up the street from me had admired my LW300 and was starting to look
for a replacement vehicle. Her Ford wagon went belly-up a bit sooner than
hoped for. She got a similar deal to mine for a L series (not sure if it is
a 200 or 300) wagon that was 2 years old and had just come off of lease...

2000 LS won't start by
3valve
Hi. I haven't found the exact symptoms I'm experiencing on this site,
so I'm posting my own question.
My 2000 Saturn LS won't start. The battery appears to be fine. The
lights are bright, the stereo is loud. But when I turn the key I just
hear a single click sound in the engine compartment, on the...

Drove the Astra for a day by
marx404
Today I spent some time driving a new 2008 silver Astra XE automatic while
my ION is in the shop. I haven't really had the chance to open one up on the
highway or hit a corner hard in the country. I am pretty impressed with the
speed and especially the handling. of course, this is really a...

2000 SL2 drivers seat by
Hank[_2_]
Saturn SL2 2000- failed inspection because of loose drivers seat. The
Torx head bolts holding down the assembly are tight (had a doozy of a
time finding a Torx socket-Pep Boys thought it was a proprietary tool
from Saturn), it seems that whatever is holding the framework in the
runner is loose...

sunroof drains by
RAYMOND DAVIEAU
Last year my sunroof on my 01 SC1 leaked. The dealer said the drains were
clogged and allowed it to leak. After they cleaned drains and dried the
headliner it was all set. They said to have it serviced every year. I
can't even see any drains around the sunroof at all. Where are they and how...

Thanks to the Group! - problem solved by
Larry
My '96 SL has about 120K on it, and has been running good. I am
cheap, and haven't spent much on this car. I do my own oil changes,
and have never taken the car to the dealer for service except for
stuff I couldn't figure out myself, the A/C had a $400 problem (fan) a
couple of years ago, and the...

brake pedal to floor after bleeding by
wieldymouse
I recently changed the pads on the front of an SL2. When I went to test
drive it, the pedal ad little pressure, but the car would stop. I thought
maybe I needed to bleed it. After doing that, the pedal has absolutely no
pressure and the brakes don't work at all. Can someone help me out here?
