I received this message from my brother-in-law who is having a problem
with his climate control. I pass his message along unedited. This is
all I know about his problem. Haven't been able to reach him for
further information or clarification. He's traveling.
Any body have any idea what could be...

Pontiac Solstice by
P T
I think that's what it's called. I saw it at the auto show yesterday.
Sharp looking 2 seater convertible. Supposed to come out in June,
selling for a mere 20-25! Looks like Saturn will also market the
vehicle. I'll bet it will be more fun than my MGB of 30+ years ago.

Locked into second gear by
[email protected]
Greetings!
About 3-4 weeks ago while driving home I shifted from third to second
gear and the gear shift immediately went, for want of a better word,
limp. No grinding, no lurch, it just went into second and won't come
out. The clutch will depress and apperas to be operative, but the gear
shifter...

P0404 EGR Flow code by
Mike
I have a 1998 SC2 with like 96k miles on it. I have replaced the O2 sensor,
Catalytic converter, and muffler. The thing goes through a quart of oil
every 750 - 1000 miles using 10W30. The auto parts store that ran the code
said that they don't have a part available and that I have to go see...

Vibration in 99 SL1 when running in gear at stop. by
reex01
My 1999 SL1 has a very loud vibration coming from the engine compartment
when it is running and in gear and standing still. If I shift it into Park
the vibration stops. When you begin moving it stops. It is only when you
are running and in gear and stopped that the vibration is felt and heard
(at a...

Saturn headliner installation by
Doggus
Our '97 Saturn's headliner needs replacing. I'm wondering if this is
something the average handy man can do or if this is something that needs to
be done by the shop so they can pay for screwing it up. My concern is I'm
thinking it's a little tricky to get a new one in there without bending...

Starting/idle problem by
William Hughes
1995 SW2 DOHC auto a/c @184,000
Problem: Starts hard when cold, must floor accelerator, blows blue-gray smoke
for about five seconds after start. Will not start at all when hot; just cranks
and barely fires. Acts like it's flooded. Runs fine when it does start, although
idle speed is high (@1,100...

saturn cars panel undentable? by

Are the side panels of saturn cars really immune to small door dents?
If so, why isn't this idea copied by other car makers?

Fixing my tripmeter and Odometer on my Saturn SL2? by
==
Hi there
I have a 1992 Saturn SL2 and last thurs, the tripmeter and odometer
stopped working. I need to get it looked at, but I thought I'd check
here to see if anyone has had this problem and what their solution is? I
don't want to replace the whole instrument panel, if possible, but does
anyone...

Front air spoiler on 96 SW1 needed? by
Chuck Connell
Hi all,
The low front air spoiler on this car came loose and I pulled it off. It
appears to have no function other than scraping on curbstones as I park. Is
it doing something I don't know about, or can I just throw it away?
TIA,
Chuck Connell

Cooling system question by
MPost
I had/have a problem with my cooling system (1993 SC-2, 105K) in that my
temperature gauge all of a sudden started to do 2 strange things:
1. Run hot (over 3/4) or cool (under 1/4), seemingly connected to driving
conditions (hot when I was running the AC or climbing a grade on a hot day,
cool when...

2007 Saturn Vue vs 2008 Vue by
[email protected]
I'm thinking about purchasing a VUE. After doing a little research, I
find that Saturn is coming out with a whole new Vue for 2008. I've
seen the pictures of it, and don't really care for the "euro" look and
from what I've read, they will no longer use plastic panels. However
is there any...

I just replaced an alternator in a 97 SOHC - through the wheel well. I
didn't pull the PS so it was a bit tight getting to the top bolt. The
tensioner takes a 14mm wrench.

Pontiac G5/G6 Q for blah-blah/PerfectReign by
marx404
Hey, I love my ecotec engine but am getting sick/bored of the rest of my
ION. Been liking the looks of the G5/G6 4cyl and wanted to know your
thoughts on reliability and especially quality, especially since you seem to
know Pontiacs pretty well.
Thanks.
