2003 VUE Oil filter change problem $&^%$! by
Ivanna Pee
I have been changing the oil on my Vue since I bought it new. The last
change I let the mechanic do it during a tuneup. Today I went to change
it myself and when I turned the filter cap, the entire housing moved
with it and separated from the block, and leaks. Now my car is in the
driveway with no...

neutral safety switch location by
stinknugget
My 2000 SL has inop reverse lights (bulbs and fuses checked) and the mech
said it could be the neutral safety switch. Where is it located and could
a regular, mechanically inclined guy like me be able to swap it out
easily?

would stall out occassionally.
She had the car parked all day...came out of work and the engine would crank
but not fire. Had the car towed to a Saturn Dealership...... Their vedict

2008 Malibu and Aura interior by
marx404
Looks like GM is at it again with cross sharing, they have released pics
last week of the new 2008 Chevy Mailbu interior, it is nearly identical to
the Aura, same materials.

Cracked block? by
lectricmania
The car is a 1995 SW-2. I removed the oil filler cap while the engine
was idling, and pressurized exhaust gas was emitted through the
opening. Oil filler cap contained emulsion, and white vapor has been
coming from the tailpipe upon start-up, which btw has been sporadically
difficult (acts like a...

1996 saturn sl1 - starting problems by
enduro
I have a 1996 Saturn SL1, it is not always making contact with the
starter. The problem is intermittant. I have replaced the starter
with a used one. The battery checks out fine. The positive cable has
continuity on each end. There are times it will start and an hour
later it will not start. ...

Rear Oxygen Sensor -- DIY? by
Thomas Nickerson
My Saturn dealership tells me that the rear oxygen sensor on my 2003
Ion 1 needs to be replaced; it is "not switching lean to rich". If
anyone has done it, is this job a DIY candidate? The garage wants $191.
Ouch.
Thanks,
Tom

2005 Ion, turn signal problem? by
Ion Owner
I have a 2005 Ion with a sick turn signal. One of the two filaments
burned out. Saturn conveniently made the replacement operation
tool-free. Replaced the bulb and it still doesn't blink.
Checked the bulb and in-headlamp assembly wiring with an ohmmeter and
by hooking it up to a 12 volt supply....

Wheel thump worries - '96 SW2 wagon? by
c-bee1
Hi all, great to find this group! I'm a total car idiot who got a real
nice sharp dark green SW2 a while ago, and love it. But I've now got a
noise coming from one of my wheels, or something associated with them. It
sounds like it's one of the front wheels, maybe the left front. At...

1995 SC2 Fog Lights by
wavy
Noticed some discussion of this item a while back.
I bought a pair on ebay from someone parting out a 95 SC2.
Recently I've found a pair on a Saturn in a local junkyard.
If anyone is interested in them, I'm take them off and
ship for a small fee.
(For consumer safety, I'm willing to list these on...

95 Neon: low beam fails but high beam works by
Leeinwind
The right headlight doesn't work when I turn on the low beam but works fine
when I use high beam. The left one works fine for both cases. Do I need to
replace the bulb or check the circuit?

P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Open Position Performance
Just wondering what to do here. Code has apparently been registered
twice. The guy at AutoZone said that the 'pathway' from the EGR needed
to be cleaned, mentioned carbon build-up.
99 Saturn SC1, 168,000+ miles. Still get great...
