2005 VUE CD Player by
John Verheul[_2_]
The CD player in my 2005 VUE doesn't work. Radio is otherwise fine. Would
you:
1) Take it to a Saturn dealer to repair?
2) Go to a car stereo place and get the whole thing replaced?
3) Just live with it, since my last car only had cassette anyway?
4) Other

Transmission Question by
Mark[_16_]
I have a 1995 Saturn SL-2 with 115k Miles on it. I love the car and
the great gas mileage (30-35 mpg). Like all Saturns of that time it
has had the reverse slam disease since around 60k miles. I baby it
when I put it in reverse to keep from tearing the transmission up
because of this.
I now have a...

LW-200 rear brakes / E-brake by
Steph[_1_]
Any pointers on where to find the adjustment for the e-brake on a LW-200?
I can't find any adjustment on the lever inside, so it must be under the
car right? It doesn't have self-adjusting rear drums does it?
Should be easy enough to tighten up by lifting the rear wheels and sliding
under if it...

Who knew that MPG was in there somewhere? :) by
No Name
Well - 2 weeks ago I got a speeding ticket with my '06 Vue for doing 78mph.
Where I live (LI) that's the average speed everyone does and it was just my
unlucky day to get singled out of the pack. I've been driving since 1987
and have never gotten a ticket before, so you figured he would have...

2005 VUE, V6 by
JohnS
I had dinner last night with a couple of friend who own an automoble repair
shop. They suggested I "may" want to dump my VUE prior to the 60k extended
warranty expires due to an ongoing problem with the intake manafold
failing. Has anyone heard of this or were they yanking my...

disable factory alarm system on 96 SL1 by
John Clear
The inside of the buttons in both my remotes have melted enough
over the years that they rarely work any more, so the only way to
start my car is to use the over ride button to disable the kill
switch.
It is a 12 year old car, so it doesn't need an alarm system. Is
there an easy way to disable...

Rear Dome light, 01-lw300 by
Oppie[_7_]
Rear dome light went out again on the lw300. In the past I found that
wiggling the diode in the left side fuse panel brought it back on. Tried it
in the dark last night and the top part of the plastic package broke off in
my hand. After managing to extract the remainder of the diode, found that...

Drive car without keyfob? by
John Verheul
I just bought a used 2005 VUE that has the anti theft package. Is
there a way to open up and drive the car without disarming the alarm
using the keyfob? There are times I'm at athletic events and carrying
the keyfob with me would be...annoying. This is my first car with any
sort of alarm or...

Time to say good bye..... by
James1549
Well after 16 years of owning my '92 SL2, it is time to move on. I
just bought a new Crossfire as I am approaching mid-life :) The car
held up very well considering what others have to say. It has had the
best paint job on any car that I have owned. All the paint is still
original and shines as...

99 SL SOHC 5 speed Pinging when warm by
WayneF
My SL is fine when it is cold, but when it is warm it pings almost
constantly, especially in higher RPMs. The previous owner changed the
thermostat to a lower setting 170, I think. I also did not have any (less
than **** warm) heat over the winter. I was wondering if these 2 problems
are...

A Usenet troll has been spoofing my e-mail address in posts on

This began on 12 May 2008. In order to distinguish between forged posts,
and genuine posts, I've set up a web page with the dates and times of

Odometer gear replacement-94 SC2 by
Fred[_9_]
Now that the weather is warming up I might take a stab at fixing the
odometer in my
94 SC2. I have the 2 new gears that should get it going again. It was
clicking on and
off for a couple years and then stopped completely last June. Has anyone
done this
before?
Fred
