Recommended Mileage for Timing Belt Replacement? by
jgarbenzel
Hi,
I have a Honda Accord 2001 with a little over 80,000 miles. Is time
due for timing belt replacement?
I asked several Honda service centers in the area and each one of them
gave me a different answer (and a vague one!).
Some say it should be replaced at 70K miles. Some say replace it at
100K...

Honda Fit by
Sid
Has anyone bought or driven the Honda Fit? I have owned an accord and
civic, but was considering the Fit as my next purchase because of the extra
utility it might provide with the hatchback and folding seats. I would be
interested in your opinion.

2005 Honda Civic EX - 555 miles on one tank! by
cinerama
I have about 14,000 miles on my 2005 Honda Civic EX that I purchased in
September 2005. What is strange about this car is that sometimes when
the tank is on empty I can pump about 12 gallons and other times I can
pump around 15 gallons. I know the manual says the tank is 13.2 gallons
but it's true...

Advice wanted - Should it stay or should it go? by
High Tech Misfit
I think my '93 Accord is cursed! Up until the start of this year, it had
been rock solid with very few non-routine problems. But since the start of
the year, it has experienced a handful of silly and/or annoying problems.
They include:
- Bent shock sleeve causing an annoying squeak over the...

Castle nut stuck by
Cole
1990 Honda Civic EX
---
The castle nut on my lower ball joint won't move. The pin is removed
and it just won't spin. I'm at the point of almost completely
stripping the nut. Does anyone have a suggestion short of cutting it
off?
Thanks for your help.

Cold start problem on '93 Accord by
Megan
I am having trouble with my '93 Accord not starting when it's cold. It
will turn over fine and repeatedly 'catch' if the weather is mild
enough. Once it finally gets going it will immediately restart with no
problem.
I have replaced the main relay, spark plugs, distributor rotor and cap,
coolant...

Any more ideas about the 2008 Accord? by
alfred
I am seeing the 2008 Accord in concept version only. From what I read, the
2008 accord will have a slightly longer body and may have considerable hp
improvement. I am reading 175-205 for the 4 cyl and 270-280 for the 6 cyl.
Maybe more luxury?? I'd like to get more viable information about the...

From "AOL Auto Questions" by
Dave L
I ran into this today and thought a couple parts of this article were
interesting, particularly the differences between different octane gas and
whether to let the car warm up before driving. The top section about
squeeking brakes - almost sounds like they're promoting re-surfacing the
roters...

To anyone contemplating a new Accord, I have only driven mine a couple
of thousand miles, but it has been an absolute joy!! Its very
comfortable, has plenty of horsepower, and a 5 speed auto transmission
that is a technological wonder - always being in the right gear at the
right time. Mileage on...

Pesky radiator leak...can't decide what to do by
[email protected]
I've got a '90 Mazda Protege (173K miles) and it's still in
amazingly good condition, and runs like it did when one-
day old. It's been very well maintained all these years,
which is why I still have it. Here's the deal: I put in a
new after-market radiator last July; last month I noticed
a...

CV joints on 97 Civic by
Ron Truitt
I just got a call from a Goodyear shop who is doing my daughter's
Civic's oil change. They said both front CV joints, i.e. axle boots,
are bad and need replacing and want $289 each. I declined since I don't
have $600.
The car has 76k on it and drives perfect with no noise or vibration. Is
their...

replacing single rear brake caliper? by
Abeness
The last time I checked my rear brakes, they were fine but for the fact
that the parking brake arm rotates freely on the left side, without
engaging the piston. 94 Civic EX. The calipers show no evidence of brake
action problems: perfectly smooth in-and-out action on both rear
pistons--they even...

Hybrids: Single-Driver Lanes by
Jason
I saw an article in the newspaper yesterday indicating that they are
passing a law in California allowing owners of Hybrid vehicles to use
"single-driver" lanes. Brock Yates, in his article that appeared in the
Sept. 2005 issue of "Car and Driver" indicated that other states also
allow the owners...

Accord Diesel by
zonie
I just read on a British site a test on the Accord diesel they have there.
All Honda design 2.2 Liter turbocharged. Averaged over 77 miles ( not
km's) on a gallon. I figure in real life driving , should be good for at
least 50 mpg. They also have Civic and CRV diesels. Scott

You EVER hit VTEC ? by
boobie
I have been wondering about VTEC engagement....
Judging by the manner the "majority" of people (in the US) drive
and narrowing down to Honda owners....
I am pretty sure most Honda owners either very, very rarely or NEVER
hit VTEC,
I mean especially owners with A/T,..I really think most NEVER ever...
